@nipplesex2 Depends on the person. I was as the tank, most of the team were depending on the stage of the fight, with some of the DPS switching out late in the fight to help. With level cap of 55 now it makes it a hell of a lot easier though, so all that stuff doesn't really matter that much anymore

@TwoFoxx Notice how I tank the boss? the reason I don't use it is coz I never pull aggro too early, after 75% I am meant to pull aggro. Only reason I would use it is if I accidentally grab it before I'm meant to, which is pre 75%.

I'm nearing the point of possibly picking this game up. It greatly reassures me to know that there afights where resist gear is a must and there are actual strategies and threat meters with raid bosses. Resist gear farming and everything related to it is a pain in the ass, but it lets me know that they aren't just throwing in bosses that are "click, click, dead" fights. Grats on your first kill guys

@adamwriter Well the game doesn't support addons due to using the Cry engine, however people do have DPS meters through parsing, however not that many people use them. Built-in threat meters just make it too easy imo, this fight takes quite a bit of skill and I like it being a 6-man, means they can make it harder since you are more organized in a smaller group, however in a few months with 2.0 they will be bringing 24-man raids too. The PvP in this game is where it's at however.

@adamwriter just for an ex: this game is in the WoW lvl 60 stages...very new not a massive amount to it...but will expand quickly..and hopefully wont make the same mistakes wow did.... especially since this game is more twords pvp rather then pve

Everyone used Fire resist set, except our sorc who has 2x fire resist earrings and naturally higher fire resist than everyone else (robe of earth and passive is +85, plus like 40 per earring) who used 3 pieces.

It is completely necessary to kill the mofo.

do you even know what you are talking about? it was part of the strategy not to let tank the tank. maybe you should watch again. tank tanks first, then they start switching aggro, so the tank is free to take the adds, which where spawning later. if he hadnt, they would not even beat 20%. the adds would kill the heal first, and the rest was history

@KaiserD Nope, lethal arrow is basically gank only, and by gank only I mean all pew pew, as soon as the person turns around and attacks you you are instantly better off with a hybrid build.

PvE I run Explosive + SoW with Bestial and Sleep, although use Nature's Resolve for DP runs (primarily for Tahabata)

PvP I drop Trap of slowing + SoW and run Explosive + Bestial/Sleep/Retreating Slash/Nature's Resolve.

as i remember it, at pre-tbc WoW blue items were very good and epic was what their name says. when more updates with more lvls comes to aion it will be more easy to get the items u had to fight for at lv 50, and then so on... as u get to higher lvls, the item rarity changes, as it should. just as it was in wow. World of Warcraft is destroyed as it is at the moment. With rushing up to lvl 80 to start instancing and then full epic gear in 2-3 days, at least i got them that quick on my chars. sad.

OK, it was a lot of stress maybe, but now they killed it once, so they can do it more often and eventually get some of those epic drops and kick other players' asses. Those are the best items in the game, so what do you expect.

Why does the boss run around all over the place? why do I tank him away from everyone else and why does everyone maintain a certain distance from each other? Why at certain stages of the boss do I stop attacking? Why does the templar running around all over the place at the end and use invulnerability when he isn't even tanking?

well its all about the agrro(emnity) its okay if the ranger pulls because he can survive for a tad but if the casters pull they are fucked to infinity. The tank cant generate as much aggro as 3-4 people attacking at once he can only repull

@HIMISOCOOL Actually we ranger tank it on purpose, the templar has the most important job at the end and can't tank the adds + Tahabata. After 25% though when the real fight starts I struggle holding aggro over our sorc with speed casting, he has to hold back and DoT him up for quite a bit before he can let lose at around 15%, otherwise the boss is all over the shop and people die.

Err no, think of this if I want to get items I dont want hours and hours spent for something that they could let me do in less time. When the grind is sooooo steep it kills the game, your not getting through any story and it feels boring and repeptive fast. I dont mind grind hell I played WOW for 2 years straight, the problem was this grind took way to long.

You played wow for 2 years. Thats your problem, WoW is easy mode, levelin is super easy. Aion is more challenging yes but if you space your quests out and dont just rush them and cram them all in an hour or so, ur not going to make any progress,,

I myself just wack on some music and play, with legion chat and friends to talk too, its really not hard

I don't really understand the complaints about grinding in Aion. I got to 50 and not once did I feel like I needed to grind. Just go around picking up quests, actually do them all, repeat over and over as you go all across the game world, and you end up hitting max level without even once having to think about grinding. Then for even more insanity, you do a chain of solo-able quests for a full set of level 50 gold armor.

Granted it takes more than a week. But the game starts at *1*, not 50.
