How can i record a SOURCE TV demo? When i play the demo it only show movement of me (my controls)..I left it in 3rd person and it only recorded that spot where i left it, not everything.. If you know what i'm talking about, can you help me?

@KOBACx22 You need the demo to be recorded on a server that has Source TV enabled. If the server has this, it will automatically record each match and it will be uploaded to the server. You then have to contact the server owner (Unless they have a public link) to get the demo.

i dont know whats up with ym css right now but like.. i was able to record some demos and make them edits etc. a time ago but now whenever i try to do something with the moviecfg binds or writing startmovie in console i get:

Failed to launch startmovie! If you are trying to use h264, please make sure you have QuickTime installed.

WaveFixupTmpFile( '1.WAV' ) failed to open file for editing

Started recording movie, frames will record after console is cleared...

i got a problem, after i render the video, when i play it, its like its not done rendering but it is.... sometimes it laggs, sometimes it skips the video..

other problem is that the video laggs like hell when i demo it. like the sound laggs like hell.

Third is can you put the .dem in sony vegas? or does that not work. because you cant record the full video and then avi it, the vid will become over 300 gb big :)

3. If you could there would be no need for this tutorial. Start recording just before the frag happens and stop after it.

@InfuzedMedia well. if i record a game with source tv and get a .dem i cant record the full game and save it with that program.. that will take like 500gb. do i have to record with fraps and source tv? else i cant get the smooth deathkill and the video?

@RoundDawn No. As I said record just before until just after the frag. Find where the action happens in the demo then press the record button (F1-F9) a few seconds before. Keep the recording going until it finishes which for an average frag should only be about 5 - 10 seconds play time. You DONT have to record the entire demo file...There's no point.

@InfuzedMedia sorry. but the thing is that. i want the the video... lets say i play a round. its 2 min long and i kill a person every 20 sec. and i want the full video because i wanna see when i run to every one i'm going to kill. then i need the entire demo to have it. else if i only take one kill at a time. i will only be able to see the kills. but not the running

When i press F1-F8 (startmovie) the audio's kinda stuck. When i add the audio file into VirtualDub and i want to change the framerate for example matching with the audio it gives me only an FPS rate of 16? Dont know if the audio has to be that stuck while recording :( Pls help!

@xMaDMaXoO Yeah because you chose the uncompressed setting. I'm pretty sure I said in the tutorial that your file size will be pretty large and the .avi file will appear laggy if you try and watch it. After you edit the clip and render your final product, you can delete all these large files when you no longer need them.

@ExactlyWow If you want to use a 2nd account you will have to buy it again. I suggest you ask your friends list if anyone has a VAC banned account which they no longer use. A lot of people have old accounts they hacked on and don't need anymore so yeah :)

@renatoakatsuki Make sure you demos are in your Cstrike folder and have no spaces in the file name and use underscores instead. For example: Player_Awp_5k.

It's like it scans the screen .

Hai.

I just wanted to ask one question, when i use "drive" in the CS:S demos, and i try to add a key, it resets the camera making my key at the original place the demo first started recording, so i can't make the epic ragdolls falling to die. I click anywhere on the screen, it resets.

If you are using a STV demo then you wont be able to use the drive. You will have to do the smooths manually using binds etc..

However if you are trying to do it on a POV then you have to hold the "Make Key" button down and move the position with WASD and the mouse. This is because when CSS was ported to OB making smooths became the same as in TF2. Where as before you could just move the camera and then make key.
