Yuya needs to learn how to tuck that chin. No ones chin can stand up to a punch like that. I like Yuya and i want to see him do well. But he has a lot of defensive holes in his game. Damn, that was brutal.
Watch a fight in the states, and the commentators don't pick a side based on country. But in Japan, they always go for the Japanese fighters. They are always looking for that fighter that will bring Japan to the top. Look at how depressed the chick was at the end. I watch Dream and K1 all with Japanese commentary, so I hear this shit all the time. Difference in cultures.
Yes a few years. i eat breath and sleep fighting.omg dude I WISH i could spar with u, 11 yrs doesnt mean ur good bro. in a way u do train for ko's, ur power punches. its not like ''ok im going to practice these strikes to get lucky & get the KO'' ur theory/philosophy regarding this is just Ridiculous, who taught u that?? and yes u need skill to place those ko shots whether its a kick/punch/knee etc.
I honestly don't remember my comment. But all I can say bro, is just try to keep your mind open to the concept. Knockouts don't happen on demand. They aren't something you can control. What I get from your statement is that a good fighter can knock out his oppenent anytime he wants. To me, it just doesn't happen that way. But that is alright dude, I'm not out to change your opinion or anyone elses. But for some reason it seems people think I'm retarded for saying that. And that's just ignorant.
No, you are the ignorant one. You think fighters train to swing wildly so maybe they'll land a lucky punch? Fuck no dude, you saying its all luck is very disrespectful to the fighters. Every punch thrown is thrown with the intent to land moron, you don't just go around swinging hoping you'll get a lucky shot. You say you've "been there done that" but yet your mindframe is not that of a warrior, it's of an uneducated youtube poster who claims to know more than others and the fighters themselves.
and you call me a poser, telling me "I'm no warrior" you can atleast talk to me with respecr like i have with everyone else. Every punch is thrown with the intention to land, no shit, but it doesn't. thats luck, no maybe more coincidence seeming how you all think luck has no part in fighting. Every punch you throw, you don;t know is going to land, either he pulls his guard up or he slips and counters. but when it slips in from some weird angle clips him on the chin and puts him to sleep. LUCK.
Yeah my fault for the disrespect, but from your previous comments it seemed like you were disregarding Petrosyan's performance by saying it was a result of luck. Nevertheless in combat sports CRAZY SHIT happens so I do believe luck plays a factor in a fight, but the c'mon I know you've seen quite a few KO's where it was clear the fighter used his skills to KO his opponent and not luck
and i know i was wrong about this fight, this was totally skill, it was stupid of me to say such things. I was just pissed off about the result. But I still firmly believe in what i've said about luck in fighting, every
real fighter i've worked with has always said skill is the most important thing, but sometimes you need luck on your side. I imagine if your good enough you don't need it but there are no people that good enough in this world.
Yeah I kinda went a little overboard myself with the name calling and so what. I understand what you're saying about luck, but Petrosyan's timing coupled along with Yuya's sloppy defence resulted in the KO
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
..yes lucky, and for the third time...do you think he knew he was going to land a perfect counter hook, did he know he was going to knock him down with it...did he know that straight punch would even land, NO...that is how it is lucky..You can't knock somebody out on demand, that's is just getting lucky.
You dont know what the hell youre talking about, really. that was not luck but just superior speed/skill/precision. so ur saying fighters trian to land lucky punches??? L O L wow. DUMB. ive been training Muay Thai for a few years now since age 16, those were NOT lucky punches.
Are you talking about this fight or another one? In this fight Giorgio absolutely dominated Yuya with his distancing and speed, there was no "lucky swinging" involved.

the knockdown and knockout punches are lucky swings...they didn't hit the target perfectly. Do you think he knew hes was going to knock him down/out with those punches, no. the supposed knockout was just hitting his gloves..his head was just previously rattled from the one punch that put him down. I've been there done that, and his perfomance was impresive indeed but he was just throwing bombs at the end. All fighting is is getting lucky with one punch...unless it's grappling of course.
The guys retarded, he thinks Petrosyan's perfect timing and distance is the result of "luck". Yeah according to Audience Killer all combat sports, boxing, kickboxing, etc, requires you to swing randomly hoping you'll get a lucky shot in. Forget training your hands, power, technique, form, footwork, etc when you can just swing and hope to land a lucky shot
wow, those are some really hard blows by giorgio, buakaw couldn't fight with this guy, buakaw has really little boxing skills, un like giorgio i think that gives giorgio a plus
Yamamoto is Japanese good fighter.
But Petrosyan is very strong.
I expect Sato's victory!

Grande Petrosyan!
