That would be a contradiction, Deuteronomy 8:18 says that God gives us power to get wealth provided we obey His word. Jesus definitely obeyed the word so He had all the power to get wealth. He never flashed His money that's why they thought He was broke. No He did not have a home because He was traveling for 3 years but He could always go home

His entire message was that eternity and the welfare of our SOULS were far more important than our temporary lives here on earth (equating it to a vapor). Our wealth is not monetary, it's spiritual. The only thing that I don't get is why Lecrae mentioned tattoos and piercing like they're a bad thing, especially when he, himself, has tattoos and piercings.

In heaven, yes, but not on this sinful earth. If you find rap or hip-hop offensive in the worship of God, you can stick to hymns and more traditional forms of worship. But please don't attack other people for their worship of the same Holy God that you believe in.

All forms of music have been touched by some type of worldly influence. The churches today are in a state of apostasy and the fear of the Lord is absent, and I believe that one of the main culprits, in addition to the heretical "once-saved-always-saved" teaching, is religious rap and rock. Interesting thing about pornography is that it's legitimately unhealthy. This means that it's /average/ to look at it, but not /normal/. Maybe you are misunderstanding me. I believe we are created in the image of the most High, God. I don't like confusion so to make myself clear, I don't believe in evolution. What I was trying to state yesterday is to those who believe in evolution maybe they need to read up on their theory. We change our own environment with the increase of knowledge the more knowledge we acquire the more we can do. So What i was saying is our environment doesn't change us but we change ourselves.
I have two big problems with evolution. One, it's driving core or purpose is survival. In response to environment, predators, food supply, etc...yet somehow nature evolved in us a creature that is doing it's best to destroy itself. Second, if we are the result of random, unconscious, indifferent forces, WHY should we believe what they tell us? Why would such forces be capable of giving us an accurate view of reality?

So that we could be in relationship with Him.

Mark Driscoll ftw! I found out about Mark Driscoll from this song, and I'm so glad that I did. His quote in this song and this song in general is life changing. All forms of music have been touched by some type of worldly influence. The tunes of well known hymns written by Martin Luther, among others, were taken from sources including folk songs and bar tunes. (I've run out of room on this post-will continue on another one)

Be real, and understand the seriousness of the Gospel. Don't push away the unbelievers and the homosexuals, your sins are no worse then theirs. @NanoGhost2 I feel you on that. However, I don't find it rude. The Bible states it clearly that no man should have sexual relations with the same sex (Leviticus 18:22). Plus, I wasn't really considering sexual sin when I posted that comment. Even if you scratch out the homo in homosexuality, they're still human and they sin in obvious ways: greed, hate, lies, ungodly thoughts. What I was trying to say is that God looks at us all the same, so why should we look at them different?

Interesting thing about pornography is that it's legitimately unhealthy. This means that it's /average/ to look at it, but not /normal/. Not to be rude but I dont think Jesus was broke, he was given a bunch of gifts beacuse when he was born everyone who knew anything about God knew that he was going to send a saviour to die for our sins and he told them that it would be declared by a huge star he was emanuel (god is with us) so a bunch of kings found out and over flowed Jesus with gifts, gifts from kings all over, so I don't think Jesus could have been poor it just dosn't make sence

@ankl3deep what you believe is clearly logical and your beliefs are valid. but faith to me is not a smooth one, unless i can take in an infinity of perspectives and knowledge regarding the bible I couldn't possibly believe it all. i daily question the various aspects of faith. We need to constantly ask the questions your asking. we aren't guaranteed an answer, so we continue to struggle with our faith, studying it, comparing it, and coming upon conclusions we find are logical for us.

Evolution my ass. The apex creature of that worldview can put a man on the moon but can't live on the Earth. If evolution didnt exist then humans now days would look identical to Adam and Eve, I believe Adam and Eve looked completely different, more physique. I have two big problems with evolution. One, it's driving core or purpose is survival. In response to environment, predators, food supply, etc...yet somehow nature evolved in us a creature that is doing it's best to destroy itself. Second, if we are the result of random, unconscious, indifferent forces, WHY should we believe what they tell us? Why would such forces be capable of giving us an accurate view of reality?

You obviously must have had a good reason to put your faith entirely into something that can never be proved, but you have yet to show me even a decent reason.

One final question: why would God want ignorant followers? Wouldn't he want followers with the ability to use reason to preach his word? Why did he only give evidence (miracles, Jesus, etc.) in the past when they couldn't be accurately recorded? If he so badly wants people to believe in him, why not prove himself in a logical and reasonable way? I'd listen to a Christian if they handed me evidence, and then I'd convert and renounce my evil blasphemic ways.

@ankl3deep Well think about it this way. If God had left solid evidence to his existence then we would believe in him out of fear not by faith and love. And one more thing. God doesnt call the qualified he qualify's the called.

@ankl3deep and what to you counts as logical evidence? i dont know everything but i know some websites for different stuff that can help show you evidence. Also i dont know if you ever have man, but if you havent or even if you have, try just talking to Jesus ask him to help you and come into your life every night, trust me he will come into your life i promise that bro :)

@92xtaylor Like I said, I was raised Christian, and I probably know the Bible better than you. And even if God was real, I wouldn't want him in my life. He's an asshole who kills children and endorses slavery. And if you have even one shred of plausible evidence as to God's existence, the entire scientific world would love to see it.

Also as far as the scientific world loving to see it, they are mostly atheist they wouldnt belive it if they seen it (and they have) they just try to unprove it and make up theroys why it cant be possible (i.e. the shroud of turin) Even in the Bible it says no matter what some people will refuse to belive it

Also here is something i would love to point out about you, you have come to a christian song saying if someone can show you evidence you would renoice your evil ways, yet go on to say you wouldnt want God in your life anyway if he does exist, and yet further state things he has done in which you do not agree. @92xtaylor I know not all are, but most of them are. Also, I don't think you know what the word "contradict" means. I asked for proof that God exists and I said even if he did I wouldn't follow him. Those don't contradict each other. And yeah, he has done things with which I don't agree. Are you saying you agree with genocide and slavery? And I really have no idea how that verse is relevant. What point were you trying to make with it?

I would gladly do the same.

I am saying if someone was to Kill me if i was Christian because of their thoughts, i would not deny Jesus. That is why i refrenced the early killing of Christians.

@ankl3deep If God does anything at all and i am a Christian, why would i appose it? Now what is your point of all this anyway you just seem to want to mock my belief in Christ, which is ok with me cause those who are mocked in his name are blessed. However, i am at work now so if you have no point to make or anything i must go, so i will end this with: God loves and cares for you regardless of how you feel and so do I, God bless and watch over you friend :)
