Granted the engine is put in backwards and tilted to the side, and the gearbox sits directly underneath, it's still FWD and 4 cylinders. Do some research next time.

This is by far the most beautiful aftermarket modified car I've ever seen. If Saab built something like this with around 450PS (absolutely enough) the C63 AMG, the M3 and the RS4 will have finally a serious rival. Nah we do the quarter mile (402 metres) in europe as well. Bad traction in the start would seem to be the problem, and the suspension and gear ratios could probably be set up much better for the strip. A more experienced driver might also help. The problem is though, more traction may very well snap the driveshafts/gearbox.

Guys this entire discussion about 'throttle modulation' is redundant. There will be no throttle modulation with a car like that. A clean sticky launch would be dependent on the track, and as we can see, that track is god awful.
Also, street tires and 20-inch wheel? Not the best for a straight line. There's no driver problem, only a track and setup problem.
We are talking AWD here, right? It's on the rev limiters on every launch, you'd think after several pitiful starts, he'd figure out the whole throttle modulation thing that every other driver on the planet has come to understand.

Track racing or drag racing, you're not going to do well in either if you can't put the power to the ground. In both scenarios he should be using slicks. If he had something more like 400hp, then he probably wouldn't spin so bad. But 800hp... duh! of course he's going to roast all 4 tires.

this car was featured in european car magazine. the amount of custimization is ridiculous. the enginf is in the center console, and the engine bay is full of a huge turbo and costum tubing. the reason it isn't fast on the strip is because it is geared for roadtracks. it reaches 70 in first. in the article he says if he sets it for the quartermile, he could possibly get 10s or lower. i imagine this isn't with that settup.

Did you not see how much he was spinning all 4 tires?! He didn't have slicks on. It's also not meant for just straight line racing. It's setup mainly for track racing.

Track racing or drag racing, you're not going to do well in either if you can't put the power to the ground. In both scenarios he should be using slicks. If he had something more like 400hp, then he probably wouldn't spin so bad. But 800hp... duh! of course he's going to roast all 4 tires.

do you know what happens to 4wd cars with slicks that have that much power? Lots of things snap.... There's a reason why he isn't using slicks.. all you can do with such a powerful 4wd car is launch it and spin

Den var ju inställd för bana där med extremt lång låda och spinnande förklarade P-A i spoilernytt, det måste slira annars går det sönder eller så orkar den inte med den utväxlingen.

It´s built for track.. does 120km/h in first gear (of 6).

First off, it's a 4 cylinder Saab engine.
Second off, this car is a 4WD, not only a FWD.
The standard 9-3 nowadays comes in both FWD and 4WD (9-3 XWD) , depending on what the customer wants.

this car was featured in european car magazine. the amount of custimization is ridiculous. the enginf is in the center console, and the engine bay is full of a huge turbo and costum tubing. the reason it isn't fast on the strip is because it is geared for roadtracks. it reaches 70 in first. in the article he says if he sets it for the quartermile, he could possibly get 10s or lower. i imagine this isn't with that settup.

it sonds like he is bouncing off the rev limiter about 4 or 5 times, while smoking all four tires-fantastic and stupid at the same time
he needs a progressive boost control or drag slicks...
