As someone who actually lives in Lancaster, I have no real problem with it, as long as they're not aiming the cameras into my home. These cameras have caught a lot of crimes in progress, including the firebombing of a store on King St. As long as you're not out there committing crimes or slinging dope, I don't think you have anything to fear.
@mrmoofle I agree it got me scared being a native of lancaster, when some told me that the cameras were being aimed into homes,i visited in summer of 09 and felt like it was the movie eagle eye.
Surveillance cameras are technology run amuck; a Stalinist, police state concept having no place in America. Because you can, doesnt mean you should. They violate free movement and exchange of citizens, confirming the Founders belief that government, if unchecked, will eliminate freedom. Airport shakedowns and spy cameras turn justice on its head; punishing the many for the actions of the few. Mayor J. Richard Gray of Lancaster is a threat to Freedom everywhere. He must resign.
If this is all about camera surveillance in Lancaster county, and about fighting back! ... Why did you flip out on someone (2:13) when they didn't agree with YOU-- and tried to take YOUR camera, and wanted YOU to get out of their face-- But suddenly it was your right to keep taping them?? Interesting.. I guess whoever is running this camera system has that right too...
By the way I live in Pa, and I couldn't careless. I have nothing to hide.
Duh, don't you get it? That was the point. The guy who grabbed the camera "believes" in 24/7 surveillance of the public without asking them - and he is on the City Council and ironically on the LCSC that put the cameras up!!
He has NO right to take away a cameraman's right to film HIM, if he can film everyone else anytime he wants. Get it?
No one said who he was. BUT, if you noticed that man didn't get pissed till the douche bag started screaming at him. He had a smirk and probably thought it was a joke or thought this man was out of his mind. He told him to calm down.I've seen this guy in other videos., He's taunts and gets people riled up, We didn't see all the footage. He came at that guy angrily.. And that makes a big difference.
I think its pretty nuts that you can do a search on the internet, actually google earth I believe and find your house... That bothers me alot more then the cameras in lancaster city.
And no, I'm not saying this is completely right, but there's so much wrong with the world right now. Maybe if I wouldn't have already disliked this guy, I would feel a little bit differently.
Just take them down! Put up a sign at every camera in town: The owner of this camera is given 15 days to remove it.
If the camera is still here monitoring the individuals in this community when this time transpires the individuals in this community will use their lawful right to remove it themselves. Sincerely Freemen

@Mufffinz234 You seem upset about the Patriot Act's invasions of American privacy; I'm here to say you're not alone.
