as long as you have a degree and a TEFL qualification its really not that hard...just go with JET or Interac...they give you a certificate of eligibility for work which you go to the embassy to convert into a visa...this is much easier then just turning up and expecting to get a job etc

most jobs in japan are between 230,000-250,000 yen a month pre tax...tax is about 6%...im going to be moving to japan in a month but through everyone ive talked to and with the current exchange rate i'll be able to save about £800 a month...its best to say in the north away from tokyo if you want to be able to save...Korea pays about the same, slightly cheaper to live but not as safe... Hong Kong pay a lot but living expense is higher...but its all worth it
