  • i love the intro song

  • COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO HOOK THIS UP ITS MY FIRST BASS PEDAL

  • Has anyone tried this vs the Boss CEB3?

  • the ducks nuts that just made my day XD

  • i love this fucking sound

  • ...

    ...

    ...

    Duck's nuts?

  • what's that little white knob on the side?

  • the LED looks good :P

  • Does it work fine to guitar also?

  • I own this pedal and i use it more than any of my others, Its perfect if your in a band with only one guitar player and need to give your bass sound some more color in certain parts of songs, like the chorus or guitar solo or what ever, but it dosent stand out to much, just enough to get the job done. It great!

  • I love my sweeper :D

  • 0:40

I loved the playing in this section so much I had trouble focusing on the writing.

    Good demo anyways!

  • I've ordered it today..really awesome effect

  • i've ordered this sweeper today...awesome sound, really rocks

  • one question, might sound a little stupid as I've just started my pedals interest. I see that there're 2 output chanels, left and right you said. So I'm wondering, which one do I use for on-stage playing? I mean connecting to other pedal in the chain, there'd be only one input chanel. Or is it that those are just for studio use? where you plug it into DI and such. Apart from that, great sounding! I'm really digging these T-rex stuffs now.

  • The pedal sounds great! I've been wanting a subtle chorus and the effect sounds nice at 0:39. This seems like a moderately affordable way to get a nice chorus effect. :)

Keep up the good work; your videos are great. It's definitely nice that someone cares enough to get a good recording chain going. There are big companies showing off their products on YouTube that don't even do that.

  • At last someone is recording with good sound.

  • whats the difference between output L and output R?

  • Can you do a demo of this pedal with guitar? (Preferably your Tele...) :)

  • You did a great job reviewing this pedal. the video and sound quality is excellent. I have to say every time you turned off the pedal I was more impressed with the clean tone than the pedal tone.

  • I 'm curious that if this pedal plays with guitar, what's the sounds like.

  • Mmmm tasty chorus.

  • you don't sound too bad...anyone can play bass. i've been doing it for ten years or more

  • I have the same pedal, when its on i usually keep it set at max depth and min rate

  • @guitarsalert

?? i don't quite get you. anyhow i don't mean any harm. it is just my preference. peace ^^

  • @ampz37 Bootsy Collins, Chris Squire, Jaco (RIP), and many more would disagree.

  • @Burgerman666 haha.. true, my bad.

  • @Burgerman666 And Duff McKagan, Cliff Burton, and countless others. You tell him.

  • @Burgerman666 Mark King, Jason Newsted, Cliff Burtob (RIP), Flea, Les Claypool, and many more. If no one ever used chorus on bass songs by these guys wouldn't be even half as good

  • @ampz37 here here

  • @ampz37

  • @ampz37 Yeah, and the earth should still be flat. And the Easter Bunny should still hide eggs in my back yard...

  • @ampz37 Your mom gets played raw.

  • @ampz37 thats the same as saying guitar should be raw

  • @ampz37

bass *should* not be played in any way, except the way the player wants to.

If it sounds good, it is good.

Plain bass has its place, and it's still the way I play it most times, but effects have their place in bass.

  • @ampz37 its all about personal tastes. i used to hav a boss chorus. now i go without any chorus on my pedalboard.

  • @ampz37 I've never met a bass play who didn't use a compressor... at least... not one whos ever done a recording...

  • nice video/ playing

i'm thinking of purchacing this :)

  • hi there, sounds great, im pretty new to pedals but im wondering if this pedal would help get a nice tone for the guns n roses songs etc that i play. i know duff mckagan liked to use churos pedals alot?

  • @gixer121121 Thanks for the kind words. I'm no bass player (as people keep reminding me, lol) but I think this would do what you want without much trouble. Others might like to chip in here.. ?

  • @Burgerman666 thanks for your reply, ive ordered it so i guess ill see for myself :p cheers

  • @gixer121121 Well, good luck with it. I'm sure you'll love it. If you get a sec, please let us all know what you think of it. Cheers, BK.

  • @Burgerman666 HOW DO I HOOK THIS UP IT WONT WORK AND I HAVE A NEW BATTERY IN IT AND IT DIDNT WORK AND AN ADAMPTER DIDNT WORK

  • @666bonscott

plug the cord into the base, then into the pedal and then another cord from the pedal to the amp.

  • @666bonscott

    Stop yelling man...

  • @Burgerman666 you are a bass player, because I just heard you play one! :)

  • @Burgerman666 i wanna buy this and a wah pedal how many wires (that plug into bass and amp) would i need for both them to work?

  • @gixer121121 if you want a guns n roses tone you should get the digitech xbc bass multi chorus pedal for 70$

  • @gixer121121 yup definitly think this will do the trick...you probably already got it dont you? how does it work out?

  • So you have to have to listen it! It's a very good band of progressive metal.

  • The thing that you play at 0:42 is it Dream Theater??

  • @Wolstenholme16 Nah. I'm just making stuff up as I go along. I don't think I've even heard Dream Theatre.

  • id turn down the volume when your recording to stop it clipping :| and turn down the treble a bit on the amp :P but yeh sounds sweet

  • Awesome! I finally figured out what to get my dad for his birthday later this month. He's been moaning about wanting a chorus and this is by far better than BOSS' IMO. Thanks for the vid.

  • @joshie4330 Haha! Excellent. Wish your dad a happy birthday from me. Cheers, B. :)

  • Hi Brett, Greets from TX!! Two questions.. does the side-mounted level knob retract into the case like on their Reptile pedal? Also, is their a 'clipping' LED on the side of the pedal like on the Reptile? Sounds good!! You should throw some of those chops you used on the Proteus demo onto this box and see how it comes out!! Yeah baby! ;-) Great demo as always!!

    Keith

  • @3dsman Hey Keith. Nice to hear from you, sir. :)

Yes, the Level knob does retract into the case. Yes, there is a red LED which, thankfully, didn't light up during this clip. :)

    Cheers,

    B

  • @Burgerman666 Thanks Bud! Keep 'em coming!!

  • Hey Brett., you show off "The Sweeper's capabilities" well, especially as no Bass Amp. I immediately thought of "The Cure" when i listened on through, lol. Good EQ range. ( I once played Bass in a Band, for six months, so no expert here.)

A good Bass player seems (my opinion in general classic rock sense) gets that effortless skin on string sound which just floats out at you, then a punch.

    Great Vid, thanks !

  • @Bruce097 Cheers, Bruce. Those sorts of comments are very flattering and encourage me to strive ever forward. Much appreciated. :)
