@ilantchu That means that your car isn't kicking out enough power on the USB port (I'm assuming that's what you're referring to). There's no fix for it other than to use a lighter adaptor.
As far as I know, the 3D maps feature works in any city that the GPS has mapping data for - which should include Toronto and Montreal...but since I can't test it, I can't really say 100% for sure.
This is HP's attempt to break into the market that is dominated by the likes of Garmin. Hopefully the next version is better - this one had some promise, but it didn't live up to what it should be.
Hey would you mind trying out installing a windows mobile app and see if it works also if you know if it works with windows mobile device center or active sync.
It doesn't accept third party apps, and it doesn't work with Window Mobile Device Center. It's not a Windows Mobile device - it's a Windows CE-based GPS.
thats an awesome gps for the car of course i would say the best GPS for the car would be the newest streets and trips for PC cause it comes with the GPS reciever (also tells u altitude above sea level speed heading etc i used it in a commercial airplane and it mapped the flight route) but u have to use a laptop with it this is awesome for a dedicated GPS for a car cause it stylish and does more than just GPS unlike the other GPS out there
Most of the stuff you're seeing me unbox is loaner equipment that companies send me to review - I don't pay for it, but I usually have to send it back as well. ;-)
That's my understanding, yes, that it will not run Windows Mobile applications. There's no indication anywhere that it accepts third party software, other than what's in the built-in storage.
It doesnt charge in my car..only at home..

@ThoughtsMedia. I've tried everything.Thanx

@ilantchu Are you using the same cable to charge it at home vs. in the car? They might have done something "special" to the pin-outs on the cable.

@ThoughtsMedia Nope...another 4 different cables with different amperage...

@ilantchu Well, try it with the official HP cable then. :-)

hi, does this Ipaq has Microsoft Office Word or Exel?
Hartsy17 3 years ago
This bears the name iPAQ, but it's really just a GPS - it's not a PDA, and you can't load applications onto it. It does not have Word or Excel.

that suck, why buy an hp gps when you have big name brands like Garmin? I thought this was a mini computer with GPS to supplement.

The price varies depending on where you buy it - I think the MSRP is about $349 USD, but you can get it online for around $280 USD.
