The Air Force is a destructive arm while the Navy is a maneuver arm. Consider an army of all tanks or all artillery. Neither works well. But the Navy is far more independant than the Air Force. If a nation has a shoreline, the Navy can dominate much of its trade.
Well that would be the SEALS and the Master at arms, you need to talk to your recruiter. Don't let them talk you into doing anything else than what you want to do. Master at Arms is what you should go for they get to carry guns there kinda the police on board ships and shore.NAVY is the best thing that ever happened to me! I make a ton of money in the power industry. I make over a 100k a year and have 8 weeks off.GAS TURBINES are another great choice. you will have a job befor you get out!
how long have you been in the navy? whats are the jobs you can get if your score on the ASFAB is between 35-40? im looking into the navy after high school.
I'm not sure how the scoring system works for the ASVAB. Your best bet is to get an engineering 'A'School on't except anything else you want to get the most out of the NAVY. Your recruiter will tell you anything to get you in and into any job. I would suggest the GAS Turbine A achools. Or Machinists Mate. Gas Turbine guys get out an make a killing in the power sector like me 55 Hr on this contract I'm on now. PLUs they pay for everything hotel food car plane tickets you name it! BIG BUCKS!
Running, Pushups, class study(now done in barracks) and swiming, and BATTLE STATIONS. If you work out strong a good 3 months before bootcamp, it will be a cake walk physically. Mentally its all up to you and how bad you want to be there. A lot of laughs there. You will look back on it and laugh your ass off.
Don't worry about Navy boot camp. Even fat chicks can pass it. I'm not joking. If you're a male and you can't make it through the Navy's boot camp, then you must be from San Fagsisco.
DUDE! Let me give you some of the best advice you might ever get. I'm prior NAVY I loved it and still love it for what it did for me. I went into Engineering GAS TURBINES! Now I've been in the power industry for 12 years and I make 43 to 55HR. to travel the U.S.and start them up operate them. I also get paid 125$ a day per-diem for living expensises! I make A killing and I walk into the gun shop on my time off and by anything I want. Its AWESOME!! GO NAVY GO ENGINEERING look into it I'm serious.
