im a guitarist with lynch as a last name, thought lynch mob would be a cool name for a band. looked up lynch on google, found band called lynch mob with a guitarist named lynch...Can't rap my head around that. Good band.
Never heard about a new LP from Lynch Mob! Fuck! so happy to listen to this fuckin' good sound and songs! I felt like I'm 15 years old! Need to buy it soon!
Lynch keeps on rock -N- ! , If RANDY RHOADS was still here, he would be buy n a ticket for the show.He loved to go see him play back in the day. GREAT SONG!
Man lol, Lynch is sick in every song. Dokken was kickass, Lynch mob is good, and Souls Of We are kickass as well. For myself, I dont care about lyrical integrity very much as long as their not weird or wishy-washy. So to those who say Lynch never made a 10/10 song.................dont listen to the music then? lol and thats all
everyone seems to be complaining a lot about george's playing and oni's singing. wtf? would you rather listen to Don's single note voice over oni's and a DoJo student of a guitarrist in Don's band over George? XD gimme a break! hahaha!!! XD
kind of like most of us guys.. he he.... we do what we can to keep our ladies happy, but in the end we suck in bed. right guys? i mean, none of us are exactly 100% in all we do either. take a look around. enjoy what you have. enjoy what you have left. enjoy the left-overs. no one else is going to give you what you want in life. you have to find yr own joy or make it happen.
I think this song has a cool vibe and melody ,but the lyrical content isn't too interesting- That being said, I love Lynch's style & he's just as good as ever.
you forgot to mention the names of the band members for Lynch Mob's 'SMOKE THIS' album. You didn't even mention the singer's name. He took a lot of CRAP from people, considering the fact that I witnessed people spitting at him on stage, he continued to sing for the band and paid no attention to people's criticism and bad behaviour. IT TAKES a LOT to be a front man with that kind of treatment from people. Did you ever see any of their shows? oh wait, ha! yr just 19 XD!!!
I agree hearing this.I met Oni once with George and he was a great guy and I love his vocals and those who don't like him should go elsewhere and stop listening and being negative if they don't like the music or Oni,George etc.....I'm diggin this cd and glad Geo and Oni got together again!......Long live the Mob and Geo and they friggen Rock!....Geo has written more albums and cd's even than my Ed V.H.!.....Geo fan until I die!...I saw LM 2001 with Oni,Lynch,Mcnabb and jimmy on drums!,,Awesome!
Dude, you are one smart Lynch fan! That "Smoke This" band was George's best, and Gabe the singer could do more on one song than Oni or Don ever did in a career. The Lynch fans who spit on him were very closed-minded and didn't stop to notice he did a LOT more than just rap. And his rap was fucking awesome.
Is anyone else TOTALLY FE UP of listening to whining and whinging fans constantly crying into their beers..because LYNCH doesn't completely re-write his past? ITS NOT 1986 or 1991 anymore! Everyone, including you and I have changed in the last 2 decades, so why do expect LYCH and co not have changed too?
There are tonnes of old school LYNCH-isms on this record inter-woven with a new edge and it works fine.
He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't..just be thankful he's still bothering!
But this album IS rewriting his past... it's a bunch of rehashing because he's sick of his fans bitching about his experimental albums... and that's why I label this as the most disappointing album of the year.
To Rob below, True, George has flip-flopped musically at times (particularly the second LM album and "Smoke This") most likely due to someone`s advice. But he has a much greater range than his peers (Can you imagine Yngwie or Vai making a nu metal album?) and I think this has turned some of his missteps into some pretty good tunes actually. He would have never tried those songs if he`d stayed with Dokken, so I kind of like some of the quirky directions his musical career has taken.
"Smoke This" was flip flopping for the better... that was the one album where he didn't listen to one thing his fans had to say and did what he wanted. That album has more going on on each song than any other Lynch album.
Its a great record. 6 tracks are immediate, about 4 are growers and the leftovers creep on you. Overall..a really strong record that is quite varied but the LYNCH we've waited for..for a long time. They HAVE NOT re-written the past..its where they are now! A tip of the hat to the past here and there, but has contemporary sounds too.
I f you dark and angular LYNCH, try SOULS OF WE, also a great record. Great to hear Oni and Lynch soloing with feel and melody again.
i think just by hearing the 2 new tracks on here that i prefer the souls of we compared to this. its got a darker sound and is more innovative than this record. this record sounds like wicked sensation over again but not as good.
interesting opinion. why do you think lynch mob in general is a debacle, that the material was not very good? you sound like you know what you're talking about.
The sad truth of the Lynch Mob debacle is that the material was never very good. And then Lynch floundered around kinda pathetically trying to appease the idiots who run the record labels by flip flopping on his musical direction.
This song is okay as far as it goes, but there isn't enough there to really hook the listener. Ultimately, it is about the songs and not just the sheer technical ability of the people involved in a band.
This song is not so good. But the whole CD i think is the massive load of hard rock. Almost every song has catchy riff, the sound of Lynch's guitar mixed with the drums are insane. All in all very good CD. Even if I lately started to listen dokken/lynch, I'll buy the CD if it appears in the stores.
@robibm2003 WOW. I think you're nuts. I agree COMPLETELY about the flip-flopping for record executives...but the Wicked Sensation album is a hook monster from front to back (but not in a blatant pop-oriented manner). Smoke and Mirrors is a great effort too.
@matador919 No kidding! This sounds like the real deal to me! I recall a time where it seemed George was hanging it up in favor of a bodybuilding career. It's great to hear the Mob sounding legit!
I think this is a damn good song!
