i like the veyron.. i've not heard one in real life, but on these videos it sounds a bit like a truck. lol a powerful truck ... but still a truck. obviously with that kind of power on tap its going to sound like it 'needs' to sound. but i wouldn't say it is a particularly 'nice' sounding super car. not like a Ferrari or a v8 audi. in fact i'd say a nasp 5 pot sounds more 'exotic' . this just sounds like a super tank. lol

still an excellent car tho.

OK nice vid but i timed it at 47 seconds, now for a near £1 mill car thats a crap time as the last time i went to Prescot i witnessed a 36 seconds lap, OK its the record but !!!!!! I no what i will pay for!!

Nice video indeed. First time I saw a complete footage. For the author, I suggest to add reply for "Bugatti Veyron at the Prescott Hill Climb May 07". Don't forget Veyron is a normal car compared other lightweight. I think the best was 42.5 seconds.

Fair point but i disagree, ok on this little cotswold track you clearly cant use all the power of this car all the time, your comment is a little short sited on all drivers in the word, in any driving situation, no?

But my point was exactly that: I can't imagine abyone that has the guts and the skills to handle to the limit so much torque and hp. The driving of those kind of cars is simple. Swallow straight lines as they are only a few meters and go to the bends "fast", but not superfast. Also we are not talking about a race car. A race car with a race driver that's another matter..

Wouldnt say its simple, actually. Driving a high hp car involves braking as deeply as possible into the corners (heavy trail braking), and then progressive application of the power as early as possible.

Basically maximizing the straight line acceleration without losing traction, which is much more difficult to do then it sounds.
