  • This is good too. I hear no difference. Bravo

  • ...you nailed it. Trust me.

(But honestly, I was listening quite intently to your Goofy voice and I couldn't make out a difference/flaw. But I DID notice that you went deeper with your voice for this dub and I didn't sense any straining on your voice. You didn't seem at all uncomfortable with a deeper tone.

I encourage you to do more Goofies with the low voice. It's perfect!

  • To you Andre this fandub isn't so 'great' because you're the one doing the voice. You tend to notice more of your own flaws therefore you're harder on yourself and beat yourself up for the most tiniest details.

But when you look at it from our perspective as the viewer, the audience all we see is perfection. Not because we're not the pros here, but because after years of listening to Goofy's voice we already know what he sounds like. We have the general idea of what his voice sounds like and y

  • "AAaaahh hooouuu-oooouu wweeeeeeee!!!!"

    -3 Goofy's signature laugh.

    Did you nail it?

    Are Apple products overpriced?

    That is all.

  • It doesn't suck! It's great!

  • Bullshit, this dub pwns. You have to face the fact that everything you do will turn EPIC. Your attention to detail is truly something not many have, and due to rushing I think you did a really good job. I won't go on about how much I DISAGREE with you when you say that your acting and Goofy-impression suck, however I still love you. <3

  • How can you say this dub sucks? You were awesome.

  • You did great!!! I loved it! <3 <3

  • I actually loved this! You do a PERFECT Goofy, it's incredible :D And you did a great job with your audio mixing too, it sounded awesome. And I thought the acting part was very good, actually. I know you seem to not particularly like this one, but I seriously thought you did a fantastic job, and I'm not just saying that :)

  • This is my favorite version of A Christmas Carol. I saw the Jim Carrey one yesterday and I didn't like it. It was just like you said, a 3D show off...I think you were really good. And I SO do understand about the pain that it is editing and mixing...god, sometimes drives me mad.

  • Oh stopppp this is awesome! DONT BE SO HARD ON YA-SELF!

  • I thought you did a really good job with this man, I'm always super impressed with your Goofy. So the mixing/sfx weren't perfect, it's really the voice acting that counts. XD

  • @ChadVActor Unfortunatly the voice acting was trash as well.

  • I've always loved this scene and movie when I was older, cuz I used to be scared from this movie when I was little XD

The acting was perfect, just a shame from the mixing, but I can't always be perfect =)

  • I think this is AMAZING honey, I'm not just saying that, you continue to impress me and you shouldn't be sad about this, it's an awesome achievement. The sfx sound awesome, your attention to detail always astounds me <3 Don't be so hard on yourself, you're not American and you're not over 30 for goodness sake XD Bill Farmer is who you're use to and who you channel, so be it. Farmer was around 34 or older when he got the job as Goofy, have mercy on yourself! You can only get better and better!

  • AWSOME!

  • I'm not even going to praise or slam this dub, I know what you are capable of Dreamer. I watch to enjoy your work, not to judge.

  • AMAZING <3

  • OMG I LOVE Mickey's Christmas Carol! It's how I learned the story!

  • Don't beat yourself up. Considering all you had to go through to get this up by Christmas, you did a good job.

(Late) Merry Christmas and (early) Happy New Year :)

  • This was really good! Fantastisk Goofy! Det må jeg fandme give dig! :-)

  • You are awesome! XD this is one fo my favorite christmas movies :3

  • well, if you not satisfied about this dub, i really like it ^_^ you did Goofy very GREAT ;)

and sometimes if i mad a dub, i put other soundtracks as backgroundmusic, 'cause i can't get the original music, sometimes :)

And i did dubbing this movie before in Dutch, but then that scene with the Giant, dubbing by me and a friend of mine as Scrooge :D

  • Wonderful job! ^_^

  • Oh my god.. I watched this movie like hundred times every christmas when I was little. Then we would go to my grandparents.. Me and my parents and brothers. XD You did an amazing job as goofy! You really sound just like the same as him XD

  • pure genius, well done

  • I LOVED this movie, and this was a good pick for your Christmas upload.

I wish I could have had time to make a Christmas recording, even something small, but I was stuck with drama galore. ><

  • in conclusion, what do you use to edit audio? i'm sure there could of been a way to remove the voices. surely more thought could of been put into that. either way, great choice of replacement tracks. silvestri's score definitely serves as an appropriate replace. anyway, great job nonetheless. you continue to impress me man!

  • @iamtheilles78 I use Adobe Audition to remove the voices and there was absolutely no way to remove the voices and I don't see why you sound so aggressive about it. I even tried to remove the background music whenever I had a Scrooge line by removing the left and right channels but that barely made a difference.

  • @iamtheilles78 Uh, sorry to chip in here as I know you’re only stating your opinion, but I think you’re being a tad too harsh. As Andre’s girlfriend, I’ve sat down and dubbed with him in real life and mixed with him personally, I can tell you he’s one of the most dedicated mixers in fandubbing I’ve ever seen. He does pay attention to every little detail and I think before you make judgments you should check out other dubs he’s mixed...

  • @iamtheilles78 He does blend in sound effects adequately and wonderfully in every dub he’s done, I really admire his determination and skills and SFX mixing. In fact, in the past I used to get annoyed at him for being “too picky”! As for removing voices, it’s VERY difficult to do that in Adobe Audition (I use it myself), the fact that you’re saying, “surely more thought could have been put into that” kind of pays heed to the fact that you don’t really understand how it all works...

  • @iamtheilles78 (continuing) and that it’s not that easy at all. Coming from someone who has also tried to remove vocals from many songs and scenes on occasion, it’s VERY difficult. Also, people make mistakes. Just because one dub may not be up to the “usual standard” doesn’t mean someone’s skills are not up to par. Regarding Andre’s Goofy voice, the fact that he’s 20 years old and English isn’t even his first language, I think he does a pretty darn spectacular job.

  • Amen Elsie!

  • Amen Elsie!

  • Amen Elsie!

  • you goofy lines also sound higher (in volume) than scrooge's. again, the use of old effect and lowering the volume would have remedied this. also, i would of suggested to just base your performance on famer's, rather than on smith's. since you didn't, the performance sounds forced and out of place, namely at 2:34-2:48.

    CONT...

  • @iamtheilles78 I actually do have an old effect on my lines by recording with a 16000 sample rate instead of the usual 48000. As for the volumes I don't think they're "that" off, especially as the reverb makes the lines drown into the background a little more. I guess I could've put more thought into it but I just wanted it up by today to experiment with youtube's date clock anyway. It says the 25th of December even though I uploaded it the 26th my time which proved to me what I wanted to know.

  • second, the sfx are poorly mixed. as in, you can tell they're not original. proper mixing should assure that the sfx and score are blended in adequately, so as to give the impression that scene is original. one notable place were the sfx seem out of place is the door lock scene (1:10-1:13). also the chains and crashing sfx seem weird. perhaps giving them an "old" effect would of made the difference? the same goes for goofy's voice. placing an old effect over it would of sounded better by tenfold

  • @iamtheilles78 It's quite hard to find sound effects that fits every situation and since I was under time constraints I ended up reusing the 30 seconds or so of chain I had throughout the whole video. The off crashing sounds seems out of place because I was aiming for purely comedic value. Once again I'd say the mixing was because of me rushing to get it up, I suggest you check out Kidnap The Sandy Claws for better mixing.

I hate how this turned out anyway, bah. Will probably delete it.

  • @VActorDreamer this was brilliant mate your Goofy voice is smack on the target love the sound effects aswell

  • @VActorDreamer Aw don't delete it Andre. It sounds great!

  • @VActorDreamer Don't you dare delete this dub. It would be a waste of your goofy voicing talents. See my inbox message.

  • great job, man. but i do have a few gripes. namely, i was disappointed that you didn't even attempt voicing scrooge. you always seem to be touted as the man that can do any voice. so i find it naggish that you didn't even try voicing him. and not be able to roll r's is a poor excuse. i'm not attacking you; actually it's a little refreshing that you can't do something for once, but i would of liked to see an attempt.

    CONT...

  • @iamtheilles78 I never claim I can voice anyone and I find it insulting that you make it out as if I'm some kind of a fraud. Not being able to roll my Rs is quite a good reason to me why I'm not even attempting as that's one of the main things scottsmen do. There are plenty of tiny things with a scottish accent I'm not even aware of so why should I try anything that CLEARLY would just be a complete failure?

  • so this was what you were working on =3, it is an awesome dub no matter what you say. Just go with it and celebrate. I don't know why what I just typed remind me of lyrics from somewhere.

  • IS THERE ANYTHING YOU CAN'T DO? This is amazing!!!

Your goofy is like perfect! and I love this movie :D I always watched it growing up.

  • @EnchantedTower I obviously can't do Scrooge lol.

  • Very good. You're one of the few people I know who can pull a good Goofy.

  • Ahh :D This was so goooooood!

I didn't even notice that you messed up a line. xP

  • @AlicexTami That's cause I didn't mess up the line lol. I did the movie accurate line even though it sounded slightly awkward to me.

  • @VActorDreamer lol nice goofy u almost sound like him u just need to be a little more goofier *goofy laugh* if u know what i mean
