Bill Nye is a perfect example of how little intelligence you actually need to pursue a career in the field of science. No offense to any REAL scientists, I have a great respect for the men and women who use their gifts for constructive purposes such as the betterment of the universe, but to deny and attempt to discredit something just because you've never seen or experienced it yourself is just as idiotic as blindly accepting something as truth just because you are told it is.

I didn't hear Bill make a single ad hominem attack. I think Bob Jacobs needs to realize that questioning someone's assertion of the facts is NOT an ad hominem. Calling someone a drunk, or an idiot, IS an ad hominem. NOT questioning the evidence.

It is obviously a VERY personal subject to these kooks (ad hominem), and thus prohibits them from looking at ANY of the evidence in an objective manner.

As with the whole of the Skeptic Society, good old Bill Nye is trying to insinuate that because it is difficult to prove ufos are alien space craft - that somehow means there is nothing interesting about the ufo phenomenon and we should just say "oh well, forget it".

What line of logic does that follow?
