  • Thumb this if your watching this for english

  • HEY! THIS IS 2011! DON'T START A 'WAR' ON THIS COMMENT.

  • =( I'm so grateful I wasn't in the war.

  • Well done making this video, well done

  • Is so sad

  • Well, I'm kinda stunned here.

You all talk about who's to blame. Well I have the answer: Everyone is to blame! There is not just one bad guy here. Everyone has their part, and it doesn't help blaming others. Germans did bad things, britains did bad things, now it's time to move on, and make sure that it won't happen AGAIN.

Stop the prejudices and see that we're all humans. Without one another, there wouldn't be anyone to make us who we are.

  • You can blame Germans but it you had real brains you would realize that people like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, the Walkers (Bush) etc. will finance any war for any reason as long as they profit. Most of you believe the standard government and parent approved textbooks. The real enemy are the Central Bankers and SCUM like GOLDMAN SACHS...Goldman has existed since the mid-19th century. People should study the Warburgs, Schiffs, Morgans, Vanderbilts if you really want to know who starts war

  • Children from Germany WERE evactuated,to the Black Forest.I know this because my Grand mother was a Red Cross nurse,I am half German.

She said, one day,an American plane shot at the train, many German children were killed. The trains Red cross symbol on the roof was covered in dirt,so no one saw it.

She also said bad things happen in war,and had no animosity.

    No one wins in War.

  • Thank you Mr. Hitler and Goebbels for the Blitz. Its was the greatest reply to the British who killed so many innocent civilians during their shitty empire.

  • @samm3004 In the winter of 1917 the British Navy cut off food and fuel to the Northern German ports. 750,000 German civilians, mostly women, children and old people died. It seems to escape the average psyche. People have to stop blaming each other based on nationality and look at the globalist bankers, industrialists, corrupt political people and the elite that will do anything to keep their wealth...even if it means killing innocent kids.

  • DEUTSCHLAND UBER ALLES

  • I never heard of this before. I couldn't imagine giving my children to complete strangers, I'd move to the country with my children. So sad.

  • wow where did you get these photos. they are fantastic . I love the one picture at 3:00of the 5 children being tended by the nurse. I want this photo. It captures the spirit of caring to the max. Is there a way to get a copy of this photo. Please let me know how this can be done. I must have this photo.

  • IIf the urinating and petty crime was never proved, why mention it??? Studies have shown most children were so psychologically disturbed from fear, being separated from their usual lives and parents that they suffered something akin to post traumatic stress syndrome. For this reason, bed wetting was common. I really doubt they were such riff raff simply peeing and stealing because they something out of a Dickens novel. This clip was disturbingly annoying with it's unfair claims.

  • Do you happen to have Sources?

  • Pretty sad stuff. Children are such beautiful being and deserve to be loved and respected.

  • @Notawesomeatall7 Awful stuff indeed ....never again?

  • Reason 2076 to hate the Nazi

  • Does anyone know this song? I really want to learn to play it! A good viedeo. It really helped me with my history exam.

  • hi, this took me about 15 tries on shazam on my iphone, but after listening, it said that it is come sail away, eric cartman.

im not sure if this is right, but its still a good song to learn on the piano, without the crappy lyrics :) x

  • I would be seriously grateful if you could tell me the song, because you said it's 'Don't Look Back in Anger' on one comment, but under the video it says that it is 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out', and I have checked both of these in piano covers, but neither sound the same. Any chance you could double check the song?

    Thanks x

  • @livewithoutwarningx Sorry, but I had to change the song using Audioswap because I didn't own the copyright. I don't know what the song is, really sorry:(

  • Very informative video about a subject that is not well known! Thanks for posting.

  • Lovely video! You did well! I really enjoyed it! It was sad, but informative. Thanks

  • My Father and his brother were evacuated from Essex during WWII. My nan was distraught. They went to stay on a farm in Kent. So, imagine the very same day, my nan had a knock on her door late that night.... and there were both of them standing there with a bucket of strawberries they had picked on the farm that day. They didn't realise the evacuation was for the duration and thought that they had to get home for tea, Needless to say my nan was very relieved and they remained for the duration.

  • what is this song called?????? its amazing!!!

  • My father and aunt were evacuated as children from London, but were allocated to an awful couple in Lewis, Sussex, who made them stay out of the house during winter until late, with no proper clothing, while they went out drinking, and deprived them of their rations. My grandmother eventually got a letter from my father (a boy, of course, at the time), and went by train to rescue them. So he and my aunt went back to endure the blitz with people who cared for them.

  • My dad was evacuated, sent to a farm forced to work as a kid. was that hungry one day he ate a candle.

I never knew this until my brother told me.

  • @UFOBevy jesus, is that true?

  • oh this is sad...

and when they rationed the food, was the food free?

or they still had to pay for it

I am just wondering how people managed to survive,a nd if their wages were paid when the shops and work places were bombed.

    cheers from Mexico!

  • Food still had to be paid for.

They say the war time diet was very healthy.

People grew their own vegetables, and improvised alot.

i think they probably were not paid! lol

  • It's a crying shame that you, the uploader, couldn't get the video transition rubbish out of your system BEFORE uploading this, otherwise informative video. Having things swiriling and spinning and all that other crap doen't add shit to this kind of video.

  • @danvonranger That is really unfair and mean comment! This uploader has made a great and informative video for us to enjoy, and you want to piss and moan!! It is the uploader's artistic choice and freedom to use transitions at will! I actually felt that the swilrlling etc imbued the film with a certain melancholy an kinda uplifting feeling also

  • wheres this song from?? i was at school and the english class was watchin this vid in the other room and the music was really nice until i learned wut they were watching.........

  • Wow samee.! i was in history with my teacher and fell inlove with the song, i wanna learn it on the piano but i dont know the song :/ having to do it by ear ahh. but its one whoa song. OMG THIS WAS MADE ON MY BIRTHDAY ahah.. thats so weird.

  • you knw you must thx united states without them allies can not win the war. Because german at that time had the most advance tech in europe but the americans had this D-Day so they push back nazi

  • As on of the evacuees I must say that this brought back a few memories - not totally pleasant of course - but that's the way it was.

  • @5004sqdn WOw, could you post some of those memories/?

  • Instead of whining and lamenting, Great Britain tried to protect her children in the best of ways. It was a matter of organization. But also a different philosophy, more pragmatic!

  • I am afraid that retardedriver (Peter Rentschler Aikman of Monterey, CA, USA) is up to his old tricks again; distorting the figures regarding Dresden. The officially accepted figure is 25,000 and not the ludicrous figure of 500,000 quoted by retardedriver.

  • Was it Britain's fault that Germany did not protect her children from air raids? Instead of using the trains for the transport of children, the trains were used for the transport of Jews to the camps. Even Speer lamented that Hitler ordered that the transport of Jews had priority before the transport of arms for the Wehrmacht.

Shortly before the war, German Jewish children could flee to Britain. Britain saved the children of her enemy from being gassed!

  • so you are saying your country's death rate is the highest?

  • Are you insane? No one is saying that Germans didn't die. But if it was not for Germany 50 million people mostly russian i might add might be alive. Death is a bad thing but you come across like we were the aggressors

  • although some 43.000 died in a 8 month attack. its heart breaking when i, a fellow london born person. knows only too well the real pain is the holocaust, its 1 of humanitys worse crimes! the genocide of approximately six million European Jews, some twins was needled together without pain killing drugs only to die, gas chamber deaths, limbs cut off, eye colour changing experiments (all died) and starved too death all in camps!

    :(

  • @Elberiver11 Um what has this video got to do about a cover up of British atrocities?

  • my nana spent her 12th birthday being told that britain was at war with germany and she spent most of that day being evacuated. not much of a 12th birthday huh? instead of jelly and ice cream she got a long train journey and an uncertain future.

  • I am a teacher and I'm going to use this with my class, Thanks very much!

  • Music was great, the font was wacko, the story was historical, thank you.

  • im gonna\ make 1 too

  • can u tell me if you made this on windows movie maker coz it looks like it please repli

  • I did!

  • This has been really helpful for my history coursework!!!

    Thanks dude!

  • This is real? I never heard of it...?

  • you've never heard of evacuees of ww2? or something else

  • Yes, it is alarming that the young people cannot imagine how the war was! For example these evacuations.

In Germany, the young people have no idea how the burden of the nazi terror weighed on the population. If you read the posts of young people on YouTube, they seem to image the nazi regime as a kind of boy scout adventure!

  • but sad

  • brill song

  • good video.. music was thoughtfully used. thanks

  • whats the song?

  • Oasis - Don't Turn Back in Anger

  • Another thing to add -

they also pooed on the carpet. When there mothers came the person complained, and the mother might tell them off for not doing it in the corner. i wonder why they didnt use a water closet!

  • cheers worcesterjonny this has really helped me with my homework.
