there are a couple of master chests in dragon age 2, but they appear after you kill the arishok around kirkwall aaannddd i think either the deep roads or sundermount? Not sure. I know there is one that is hidden inside an un-mapped alley in hightown during night and I realized I could have used a maker's sigh to give varric all his points in cunning...
