I consider women as equal to men in most cases and I don't think the army is an exception. I'm sure women can perform as good as men into combat even if we guys are better shaped for it (we've been doing that for centuries). Anyway I also believe that the army should give them different tasks, where they could be better than men, for example snipers -since they generally have a lower and thinner silhouette. Only my opinion though.

@QQ20034 The way the ammunition was loaded, the first charge puts the ammunition on the feedtray, the second charge chambers the round. I was designed so you didn't have to open the feedtray cover during battle, thus cutting time off the reload. These Drill Sergeants are way nicer to these pansy ass cadets. Our Drill Sergeants would've kicked our ass if they even saw us even gripping the charging handle improperly.

Actually I'd fare to say it isn't that hard, women's physical strength varies and can definately be improved if the woman in question wants to. Sure we have our differences, but once you get USED TO the weapon you're firing and become familiar with it, improvements are made. That's why it's called training.

we use wire to keep pins in place, and if you rack the weapon palm down you will slice your thumb open on those exposed wires. palm up is safer

in her defense, the Browning M2 is a hard weapon to charge, it takes a lot of arm strength and can dislocate the shoulder on return when chambering a round.

To all the ignorant men out there. One, women are allowed in combat. As a matter of fact, women have lost their lives/body parts in Iraq/Afghan more due to combat than all other wars/conflict combined. Two, we are not allowed in special forces orientated career fields, ie. green berets, navy seals, tacp, combat controller, etc. Three, before some of y'all make ignorant comments about a weapon system please do your research cause you only make yourself look ignorant trying to down women.

Yeah, even non-combat soldiers should have experience with the main weapons of their force, in case they are overrun, ambushed in a convoy, etc. You don't want to be shooting a gun for the first time when some one is shooting at you.

Actually I'd fare to say it isn't that hard, women's physical strength varies and can definately be improved if the woman in question wants to. Sure we have our differences, but once you get USED TO the weapon you're firing and become familiar with it, improvements are made. That's why it's called training.
