"Conversations with God" I think Neale was having a conversation, but I can Guarantee you that it wasn't with the God of the Bible. But more like god of this world. The evidence was in his own words. @iLuv204 There's no evidence to prove if Neale was having a conversation with himself, God or high spirit but that's not really important, what's important is that the contents of what he wrote are logical and non-contradicting plus inspiring and helpful. The reason why the book uses God as I or ME a lot is because the book focus on knowing your trueself which is also God.

If you listen to his interview, he says that truly to this day he does not know whether it was God or the Devil tallking to him. I read the three books and my feeling was that the being talking to him was very interested in making people believe that the devil and evil do not exist, that whatever we do is ok. Even murder! The dark side would want us to believe just that! How dangerous is that?

Well...I know there was a lot of negative reaction, along with some great and loving reaction to NDW. Personally, I don't think he's some prophet, or whatever, If you read the books carefully, he clearly says that even his writings may not be 100% "correct" but that they are all a step in bringing us closer to understanding our connection with God, just like once upon a time, some others books were able to help us define our connection.

How do you know it is all true and not just your imagination? What would God say is a way to have reliable communication? Do you ever test out that communication by having god predict certain events in the future (perhaps if you have a deck of cards, can he read the number on each card before it is flipped over?). The reason I ask is because it seems there is a certain degree of lack in provability in a lot of these claims about talking to spirits, etc. I am not concerned with repeatable evidence in some test chamber, one can start with personal proof (i.e. the deck of cards test). If your connection is as clear as I hope it to be, communications from a god who, ostensibly, is omnipotent, would seem an incredibly important discovery worth sharing. Imagine the power and capability one might have..?

It is all real. I am awake to who I am and who all is. It brings joys of tears to know how free we are. I am not a "born again" believer nor will I ever be. I seek out what gives me joy in life - art, drama, writing, spirituality - and enjoy every moment of it. That, I believe is the best way I know to live in "godliness" as my vicar refers to it.

@mojohookbarb I think the reason they put that in there at the end was to reflect on a common spiritual belief (and absolute Truth as far as I'm concerned)- that to move forward, one must first heal their past. There are "demons" in our past that are asking for healing as we inch ever closer to the time of Great Change, and to participate in this age of Purity you must of course purify yourself. Your karma is coming to the surface and will continue to do so...you are invited to face it and heal

"Conversations with God" I think Neale was having a conversation, but I can Guarantee you that it wasn't with the God of the Bible. But more like god of this world. The evidence was in his own words. Typical of the new age. Everything his god focused on was i. If it was really GOD, the message would have been J.O.Y. JESUS 1ST. OTHERS 2ND. YOURSELF 3RD.

@iLuv204 There's no evidence to prove if Neale was having a conversation with himself, God or high spirit but that's not really important, what's important is that the contents of what he wrote are logical and non-contradicting plus inspiring and helpful. The reason why the book uses God as I or ME a lot is because the book focus on knowing your trueself which is also God.

@iLuv204 You're misrepresenting Jesus. "I am the father are One". "The Kingdom of God is within you" (Thomas). Nothing can be separate from God, it's impossible. God is everything since everything was created from God. You are a divine spark, you are God, just as Jesus was God, only he was more aware of his true nature. Did Jesus not asked to be judged by his deeds? Look at the good this has done for people. Drop your judgement and try love; after all it was Jesus' only commandment.

@van1980 I understand I have the tendency to judge, it's a part of my human condition. I do try to judge as God said to judge in the Bible where it says to Judge righteously. Sometimes I fall short but I don't think I am here. Like I told that other person, after almost 50 years on this planet I've learned a couple things that I know for sure. 1) There is a God. 2) I am not a god. 3) God's name is Jesus Christ. I have seen so many attacks from the two major religions on this man.. If you listen to his interview, he says that truly to this day he does not know whether it was God or the Devil tallking to him. I read the three books and my feeling was that the being talking to him was very interested in making people believe that the devil and evil do not exist, that whatever we do is ok. Even murder! The dark side would want us to believe just that! How dangerous is that?

Well...I know there was a lot of negative reaction, along with some great and loving reaction to NDW. Personally, I don't think he's some prophet, or whatever, If you read the books carefully, he clearly says that even his writings may not be 100% "correct" but that they are all a step in bringing us closer to understanding our connection with God, just like once upon a time, some others books were able to help us define our connection.

@VoxJoxx I have not learned how to make my body stop suffering.If I try to stay in the same position I suffer.If I don't eat I suffer.If I don't use the bathroom I suffer.Suffering is also a point of view which is why some people are into S and M and a dominatrix.You are talking about reducing suffering but that does not change the fact that some of the greatest lessons are learned through suffering.

@19792403 Really? So can you use god to help you choose the optimal career path, a way to make money and live happily, the truth about certain metaphysical teachings, etc.? How do you know it is all true and not just your imagination? What would God say is a way to have reliable communication? Do you ever test out that communication by having god predict certain events in the future (perhaps if you have a deck of cards, can he read the number on each card before it is flipped over?). Thanks :)

The reason I ask is because it seems there is a certain degree of lack in provability in a lot of these claims about talking to spirits, etc. I am not concerned with repeatable evidence in some test chamber, one can start with personal proof (i.e. the deck of cards test). If your connection is as clear as I hope it to be, communications from a god who, ostensibly, is omnipotent, would seem an incredibly important discovery worth sharing. Imagine the power and capability one might have..?

It is all real. I am awake to who I am and who all is. It brings joys of tears to know how free we are. The love energy is real and when we actually join these energies they create our reality to what we really want which is to just be. Love to all of humanity and others under Creation. Are you capable of acting as a messenger, a sort of link from God to one such as myself? @YOTQLEO There is nothing new in his book. People have been doing this for thousands of years, it's an inherent trait within you as a human. He isn't more special than you. Look into the Gita, Upanishads, etc. It's all there and has been for thousands of years. We've simply smothered ourselves in guilt and fear in the west to such a degree that it seems odd. It's actually our natural state; being with God.

He's what we call "free radical". Someone who is discontented with the teaching of bible tries to make up some explanation of his own. But his dissertation deviates so much from the Christianity dogma, soon or later, he will be regarded as heretic.

All this hate and anger in the name of God! NPW is going to Hell? That's true if HE believes that he will be in hell, otherwise he will choose the reality of his exhistance, as it is not our choices! I have spent a lifetime observing religion. I can't find one that I believe is based in the true love of God the creator. Most are based on fear. I choose love.

Don't you all think it funny that those who claim to be true Christians, 'born-again' believers tend to demonstrate the most un-Christlike behaviour with people they disagree with. Why so angry and defensive. If yours is the only truth, why curse and insult others in order to prove that?

Because the majority of theists don't belong to a faith because of divine experiences, they belong due to conformity.
Everybody around them belongs to religion A, so they join religion A. People follow a faith due to peer pressure, essentially.
Since the foundation, the core, of their belief lies in everybody else believing, when other people DON'T believe, that threatens their foundation; they become scared, and lash out. Or they claim, "deep down, you really believe."
No, we don't.

God told Neale Donald Walsch during the first book. "You've got me all wrong." He was referring to humanity's understanding of God as being basically still child-like. Earlier, Jesus was trying to tell people that the "Kingdom of God is within." and other personal empowerment concepts. Except the disciples and a few others, most couldn't fathom what he was teaching. The christian church's omited most of his self empowerment mystical teachings from the bible.

I am not a "born again" believer nor will I ever be. I believe in devoting my life to spiritual enrichment and nourishment and developing a personal relationship with God and living (as closely as possible) to Jesus' teachings. I seek out what gives me joy in life - art, drama, writing, spirituality - and enjoy every moment of it. That, I believe is the best way I know to live in "godliness" as my vicar refers to it.

If those are your beliefs OcultOprah; those are your beliefs. Who am I to argue? I was simply stating what I believe. There is no denying that The Bible is a great source of spiritual strength, wisdom truth and inspiration but it is NOT the only one. And it most certainly isn't entirely accurate. The Bible has been edited since its inception. It is edited every time a new version comes out.

The laws of God do not exist in a single book, else everyone would have read it by now. There are so many conflicting messages even within one book of The Bible that it could never have all come from God. The "laws" of God exist in every sacred book, and other books such as Neale's. God's real truth lies within yourself. Did He not say, "Let us make make man in our image"? Did He not say, "your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own"?

Any other "source" is from "satan & his underlings demons".You rambled on about "did He not say". Well you BETTER KNOW - what He does = Say! I am a born again christian. In the Bible it states not to judge. Other Christian tell people that God will fogive all , however after your a Chritian they teach fear based beleifs. I hear it in Church. I do have one question, would it be impossible for God to talk to someone now? Or stay silent for 2000 yrs. Oh by the way, isnt the Bible wrote by men, and they choose to put what they want too in the bible and omit others . The bible today is not exacty the same as in 1200;s , did u know.

spiritual truth does not come from scripture, it comes from with-in each of us. To say...individually, we find truth.
look at it this way, before the car we had horse and buggy, if we were told that we had to ride horse and buggy today that would be ridiculous. Holy scripture is the same thing. We haven't updated our religions and we have out lived them hundreds of years ago.
