@fordbroncodave Yes it is an M100. The CB is a Uniden, not sure on the model number right now. Have had it for many years, think I got it at a hamfest or something one time, don't even remember now but I didn't buy it new.
@RadioHamGuy do you know how to program the m100 or at least change the 2 freqs in it? i have one here that i honestly will probably never use. hey are you interested in a kenwood tk-880 UHF radio 25w? 450-490mhz and goes bellow 450 into the 70cm area.
@fordbroncodave I used to work at a Motorola shop in the area and I know they have the software for the M100s, I will have to look up the tk-880 to see what it looks like again, don't remember for sure...
I tried many many years ago to put HF in my vehicle when I was a high school student (I am 62 now) and I never was able to get rid of the ignition noise. Is that a problem on HF when you are driving?
@WA5CVI I don't have much problem with it but a slight bit, the Tahoe seems pretty clean for noise but the noise floor is still lower with the engine off. So I might miss some weak signals but for the most part it works well and I can usually talk to anyone I can hear. Thanks for the post.
The problem with this install is you have to look away from the road ! Nice install though!

Great Installation, looks like a lot of work. Mines not that clean but still use mag mounts for the moment but it works

Fine Installation job. Whats amazing is that truck is 11 years old. Id love to find one in that condition. YUou know its been takjing care of.
