I wasn't changed at all about hearing santa wasn't real. I thought it was funny and I learned this around 9 or 10 yrs old.
And religion is built of off faith, a belief, not true knowledge. The same as hoping for a job or good health, you don't know what's gonna happen, but you usually take things for granted and get into a daily schedule.

It's good if they start doubting religon. Because religion sucks... I've never been tricked in to beliving in santa, I never had because no one was pushing me to belive in him and I have never belived in flying creatures without wings...
My parents luckily never pulled that "Santa brought you this" shit on me. Probably because they thought the same way, I want my child to know this gift was from me, that I spent my hard earned money to give me child something they really, truly wanted. Looking back, I appreciate that.

Don't remember ever believing in Santa, I also knew how babies were made before 1st grade.
