In Add/Remove programs, there's a prog. called 'Windows Live Essentials' if you attempt to remove it, you'll be prompted with a window, select what you want to uninstall, and let it do it's thing.

And after that, it should be gone.

You don´t have to pay for the BETA version. The Beta Version is only a prerelease Version, and there might be mistakes in it.
