One of the first to be shot on Betacam SP - when the world was still shooting dramas on 16mm film. I remember watching this and realising there was still a lot more to be had from the PAL analogue television system and that Beta SP videotape had surpassed 16mm for broadcast television. Oh and I fell in love with the Greek islands as a kid - visited before Kythera was broadcast in the UK - and have been going back ever since. Kythera is on my list to visit.. one day!
Wow! Thanks for posting this. I just found out what this was called from someone on my on my Digital Spy post. It has been an old mystery of mine and at last it is solved!
I fancied Amelia Frid, I think that's the only reason I watched it.
Oh my god I loved this show when I was a kid, I want to watch it again somehow! The opening theme still runs in my head sometimes, very catchy. Thanks for posting the video.
@odzer I agree with all of our fellow posters. AOK gave everyone who viewed it fantastic fun and pleasure. I'm fortunate enough to have both series on 6 DVD's (from VHS) and transferring them allowed me to re-live my youth again!!!
It was re-shown on satellite channel Popular TV earlier this year (before the channel went scrambled)
A truly great series, should have been released officialy on DVD years ago!!!!
@HotFuss Soon i hope i think theres a petition to the original australian producers and if shows like the girl from tommorrow can be relesed on DVD why not AOK?.
It wasnt the same after that girl from Home and away (or was it neighbours?) left the show but still great summer memories! the cast where kids acting like KIDS not like 30 year old adults in kids bodies like you get today.
This was shown as part of CITV' s Summer Mornings line up during 1991 and 1992. For the latter showing, the opening and closing credits were scrapped.

@damieandark - Media World. They also make (or made?) a series called The Circuit which I am absolutely wishing would come to the UK.

Both Rebekah Elmaloglou (Sophie from Home and Away) and Amelia Frid (Cody from Neighbours) were in the first series, apparently.

Yeah, I remember them being in it. I think the theme tune was slightly different, too.

What was that coloured stuff that "Spike" wore across his nose?

Sunblock. The zinc oxide stuff. It comes in all sorts of crazy colours.
