This is so cool, thank you! You are really nice & informative. You must speak, write, & read tons of languages. Thank you so much, you are incredibly helpful!! XO
It is useless for student to learn the "NAME" of the letters. Students need to learn the pronunciation of the letter, that's it. They don't need to be confused with the name.
@kamkaj19 That's often true in modern and colloquial Arabic, but in classical Arabic, the books on Arabic phonetics make it clear that the Jeem sound is like the English J.
@kamkaj19 The "jeem" letter in Arabic (as in the word rajul or "man") is pronounced similar to a J in English (as in the word Jewel). In Egyptian dialect that same letter is pronounced as a G (as in Google). So the word for "chicken" in Arabic (dejaaj) would be pronounced degaag in Egyptian dialect. There are a lot of different dialects and inflections for Arabic speakers. This is colloquial and the best dialect to learn and understand all dialects.
I've always wanted to learn Arabic! I've only watched this vid so far but your already explaining really well, so thanks a bunch! Your a great person :)
Your description and teaching style is extremely good and easy to understand. Praise to you for using some professional phonetic vocabulary for those of us who like exact references. I'd like to feature you on my channel and look forward to watching more of your videos.
@arabicdashstudio my mother tongue is urdu..i dont understand the difference between the ta and tay..its seems to be the same. secondly urdu has more alphabets than arabic, not the other way round as stated in the video
@ZohaibAbbasi Yes that was a slight slip of the tongue - Urdu does indeed have more letters than Arabic. Regarding the difference, listen out for how a Pakistani and an Arab pronounce the work "kitaab", and you should be able to spot the difference.
Alhamdulillah, thank you for taking time and effort to make this video. I've always had problems with pronounciation of the arabic alphabets and this is one of the first videos I've seen on Youtube (and I've seen many!) that gives clear explanation on the pronounciation. Look forward to watching your other videos. Thanks again!
Mate, thank you very much for this. I am a monolingual Arab-Australian, and not only is it fantastic to be able to learn another language for free, but your impression of the Australian accent is hands down the most accurate I've heard from a non-Australian.
The connections you make to English dialects are excellent! Great work; very helpful to one who is not accustomed to recognizing these sounds as separate.
this is awesome, and im not even learning arabic. im learning Hindi/Urdu but to be honest ive never seen a tutorial that was so informative and didnt treat the learners like little kids. arabic is a hard language and has to be taught using a larger linguistic vocabulary.
This is what is needed-more people such as youselves who pass on their knowledge and not just learn it for selfish reasons. A large portion of the muslim umat is of non arabic speaking backgrounds so we do not have the benefit of full arabic immersion from a young age or any time thereafter. this usually means hours and years of study whilst practicing and fullfilling our Islamic obligations by mere repetition and regurgitation without full understanding.good work. Shukran!!!
wow, i used to be able to read and write arabic but i forgot how to now, it been 15 years since i wrote in arabic, and i'm starting to forget how to speak too now..I can fully understand though.
Really? Really?! I have to roll my "r"s? >.< This is why I didn't want to take Spanish! I can do it once every hundred times I try.
But that "better" example was actually very helpful. Literally, I took 3 years of Spanish and that's that best example for rolling "r"s that I've ever heard.
Assalamualeikum brother, and shukran for your videos, I am trying to learn arabic and I find your videos very very helpful, I am so looking forward to reading the Q'ran in Arabic. May Allah reward you for your kindness.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put these videos up to teach us the arabic language, may Allah(swt) reward you insha Allah, hopefully insha Allah I will learn the arabic language with your videos
Thank you so much! You helped me soo much, I hated pronouncing the Dhaal and Thaa. I never knew Raa flapped! Sad, Dad, Ta and Za are hard too, very annoying. But you made them all so much easier! And with practice and using your tips i can pronounce Arabic perfectly Inshalla!
May Allah SWT have mercy and you and all of us Muslims! =D

scotch dialect has ch sound in it ? Cool
Loch means hole in German in words like Arschloch lol
In German you make the خ sound after a dark vowel like A,U,O in words like nach or doch or auch
Also the German R is exactly like the Arabic letter غ
So German is much closer to Arabic than people think and a lot of the genders are the same too
Note French R is different from the German R or the Arabic letter غ
