  • That reel to reel is mesmerizing...

  • nice sound man...it seems that Pioneer RT 909 sounds better than Revox/Studer

  • The most beautiful hardware I ever see in my life. Now they produced shit , everything looks the same ... I love 80's !!!

  • @KonopKg This gear was built to last, I wonder if it will ever die on me! BTW, this is all 70's stuff. The reel-to-reel actually came out in 1979, but it still has that definite seventies look with the all-aluminium panels and round alu knobs. That together with the blue digital read-outs is what I like to call Retro-futurism :)

  • @0raffie0 hey thats a really nice setup I wish I could have one I'd use it for mixdown in my home studio hehe it sounds awesome analogue for me still doesn't beat digital when it comes to warmth anyway cheers :-)

  • what do you have in the video

  • i'd love to have one JUST like this one!

  • nice

  • Nice set up. Very good sound quality ion the video! Definitely impressive. Thanks. I made this a favorite. Pioneer made such nice products.

  • veryy veryy niceeeeeeeeeeeeee................

  • let me know if you want to sell this rt-909 money waiting.....

  • nice equpment i own a ft900 tape deck.and teac reel to reel nice equipment

  • does anyone you know what mix of It's time this is?

  • @gthang79

    its the radio edit

  • gotta love those classic displays, like a mad obsession but i love it !

  • I also own an rt-909, I simply LOVE using this unit when I am Down Mixing my recordings.

This is one of the few units that virtually duplicates an actual recorded signal so acurately to the point where you know this puts a digital recording of 24bit/48khz to shame.

I can explain more, but ill leave it at that..... A wonderful machine!!

  • I owned an RT 909, you are 100% correct! It's a great machine and using high bias tape will duplicate the source with no loss.

  • @TheFRiNgEguitars I use Maxell UDXL back coated tape on my 909

  • @StLouisEarl Smart choice!! Maxell UDXL tape sounded the best on mine too! I then switched to Ampex 456 because the UDXL had become hard to find. I had to tweak the bias and record eq a bit and it performed well with linear frequency response to 0VU. But the UDXL was (with the original bias and eq) more dynamic, with cleaner high frequency resolutiion (lower distortion) just a perfect copy of the source!

  • Another 909 proud owner here. Keep it spinning!

  • @thereeler Right on!

I bought my 909 back in 1979 along with my SX1980. The funny thing is that I paid more for the 909 than the 1980 when I bought them new, yet today the 1980 is selling for up to 3 grand on ebay!!!

  • FANTASTICO!!!

  • Holy shit, that some amazing sound. Great song too.

  • sexy. just bought my 909 on the bay. waiting for arrival...

  • @johnnm How do you like it?
