titus andronicus albums take a while to get used to, apart from the main first single songs. the monitor is a kickass album. i am not sure if it is as good as the airing of grievances but i will know in about 2 months

I grew up, or i am growing up i guess, listening to folk, punk, and indie guitar rock. This is by far the best mixture of the three i have ever heard. The guys are so cool. if you havent seen the monitor documentary yet, you have to watch it. Somehow, the second album is a lot BETTER than the first, and there's nowhere to go but up.

i'm not really into the second album. maybe i just havent given it enough of a chance, but it sounds a little TOO conor oberst. the production is clearer and less muddy. i loved the muddy sound. now they just sound like the hold steady with a less engaging frontman.
