When Rise was commenting on Jaedong's mutalisks having one armour, I think I also saw +1 attack as well. Once I saw that, I got a little bit worried :P.
Still, I'm very happy that the game turned out the way it did.
Jaedong learns humility in this match. It isn't so wise to not play chess when your foe would improve overtime. The opportunity to switch tech was given when fantasy raised the number of marines and juggernauts along with science vessel. Those along are optimized in withstanding waves of mutalisk attacks.
Jaedong knows how to counter this, but unfortunately pride caused him the match. Time of learning doesn't stops even after two trophy win.
Rule of thumb for guest commentators who comment with Rise or Klazart/Cholera/Diggity etc.: If you're mumbling on and on about something and you hear the other commentator grunting or gasping, it's because something exciting is going on and you should be talking about it. See 8:04. Save the meta-game talk for when there's nothing exciting going on!

Having multiple bases isn't worth much if you're not mining from them. I suspect Fantasy had more income from his two bases than Jaedong in all of his - in minerals, at least. Jaedong got the extra bases for the gas.
Jaedong wasn't really ahead, he had just sacrificed his economy for greater attack power, so basically the game came down to how well Fantasy could turtle.
Yeah, I saw that too and thought that most of the game, Jaedong was sacrificing too much economy for economic power. Really was not too surprised when fantasy won.
Jaedong got cocky. He got complacent with his position and lost his focus. There is no excuse for him to lose that game with his skill level and the position he was in.
If he is truly as great as everyone says he is he will learn from it and get even better.
problem with this match is that although Jaedong did have 4 bases vs Fantasy's 2 bases, jaedong did not reproduce his lost drones from the vulture harass. so effectively i wouldn't be surprised if Jaedong had just as many drones mining as Fantasy did, so functionally, they had about the same economy.
Also when Jaedong lost those Drones, he didn't have any larvae in his main base, and what's worse for him is that he doesn't have any 2nd hatcheries in any bases so it's very difficult for him to reproduce drones.
I spend a long time gathering my thoughts when writing.
But it's not that I'm not articulate when talking, either; I've debated for two years. It's more of an experience thing, really. I was more wrapped up in figuring out what I was going to say than actually saying it, which is why it came out so stunted. I do think it got a lot better at the end, though.
I'll try to do a solo sometime this weekend of some random game just to see how it goes.

eebster, work on confidence and flow. You had too many pauses in your commentary while you searched for words. Commentary, at times, is about quantity more than quality.
actually i take that back i only watched the first 5 min when i posted that. later he actually says relevant things and doesnt sound annoying. that comment is based on his first monologue.
Eebster is great, he is one of the best new commentators I've heard; knowledgable, without a speech impediment or terrible nasal shriek, and fairly confident. I enjoyed listening to him. Your time isn't really worth that much anyway, is is it, really?

Actually diggity is good, my bad for forgetting him. Moletrap is pretty shitty, his only saving grace is when he has cholera/rise to back him up... his solo commentaries are terrible all he does is talk about his life and shit.
Klazard, and this eggert kid actually RUIN commentaries when they cast with rise/cholera/diggity, who are good on their own or together.
Moletrap talks about his life when nothing his happening in the game. It's interesting and a good time filler. If you like people commentating on SCVs or probes mining minerals for like 3-4 minutes then yeah I can see why you would hate him.
meh gg, but i feel jaedong lost this more so than fantasy won it. fantasy played solid, but JD was just over aggresive, trying to overcome terran turtling power with just mutas, then he stuck to mutas instead of going to hive tech, had low drone saturation in most of his bases, and i feel didnt expand as much as he could have when he had fantasy down for the count, add a few micro slips, and gg.
eebs, i feel you need to loosen your tongue a bit, talk smoother, and try not to say "uh" as much xD
btw the things i said you need to work on basically boil down to practice and confidence. once you're more accustomed and fluid i think you'll be a rather decent commentator.

imho you need to relax while keeping starcraft in your mind (so you don't go blank). here's an oratory trick; fear NOTHING, not even slipping up, and just focus on your subject; you should always have something relevant and sensible to say if you do that. having NO FEAR means you will sound comfortable even if you make mistakes.
-and keeping starcraft in your mind means you won't spaz out like a miss america contestant; you just have to trick yourself into thinking, 'do i have fear? no' and just focus on your practiced knowledge and the game. it sounds stupid but it works.
considering that Jaedongs lowest matchup is at 62% i would say that he is in general the better player, but went to his grave with his confidence in this match.

He didn't have the drone saturation to tech up. He was actually doing a risky timing push and when fantasy was able to defend it the game was over.

Eebster is great, he is one of the best new commentators I've heard; knowledgable, without a speech impediment or terrible nasal shriek, and fairly confident. I enjoyed listening to him. Your time isn't really worth that much anyway, is is it, really?

Actually diggity is good, my bad for forgetting him. Moletrap is pretty shitty, his only saving grace is when he has cholera/rise to back him up... his solo commentaries are terrible all he does is talk about his life and shit.
Klazard, and this eggert kid actually RUIN commentaries when they cast with rise/cholera/diggity, who are good on their own or together.

Moletrap talks about his life when nothing his happening in the game. It's interesting and a good time filler. If you like people commentating on SCVs or probes mining minerals for like 3-4 minutes then yeah I can see why you would hate him.

meh gg, but i feel jaedong lost this more so than fantasy won it. fantasy played solid, but JD was just over aggresive, trying to overcome terran turtling power with just mutas, then he stuck to mutas instead of going to hive tech, had low drone saturation in most of his bases, and i feel didnt expand as much as he could have when he had fantasy down for the count, add a few micro slips, and gg.
eebs, i feel you need to loosen your tongue a bit, talk smoother, and try not to say "uh" as much xD

eebster, you have some interesting comments but it sounds like you have far too much of an internal dialogue going on which is causing gaps and logical slips.
imho you need to relax while keeping starcraft in your mind (so you don't go blank). here's an oratory trick; fear NOTHING, not even slipping up, and just focus on your subject; you should always have something relevant and sensible to say if you do that. having NO FEAR means you will sound comfortable even if you make mistakes.
