I know how Steve feels. Having chocolate around the house is tempting and it will disappear right away. Is Steve eating real chocolate? I've learned on Sesame Street that eating chocolate can damage a Muppet.
I like the part where Steve stuffs his mouth with the chocolate. I have a question. How do you give Steve live-hands? Is it a separate puppet or is it like Elmo where you can take the arms off and replace them with arms that have live-hands?
@antsamthompson9 Definitely the latter - I sewed up a glove hand, leaving an open notching on one end of the wrist where his actual hand (with the rod removed) can be inserted and pinned, so that he becomes an instant glove puppet.
I didn't "draw it" persay, because, it's a modified portrait of Lola from Plaza Sesamo... same monster except she's been given a purple nose, purple hair, and her mouth has been recolored.
Only thing I've drawn so far for a Steve video was the backdrop for "Steve D'Patriot".

@culpit Yes, the chocolates are real, but they're individually covered with saran wrap.

Ugh that looks like a Frazzletone from Frazzle on Sesame Street.

@GroverKent Okay. Just curious.

haha, great.
I don't suppose that the chocolate eating from 3:21-3:30 was inspired from a ceartain blue monster...

In a way, it was, but I was mostly just going for the laughs, lol.

I've actually considered building Steve a girlfriend, but never really got around to it.
GroverKent 3 years ago
Well ok, but its nice to see what she looks in person! Did u draw the Mona portrait?

Hey Steve, it's nice that you got Mona some chocolates, but it's awful you got a tummy ache. But, you knw the saying: "No good deed goes unpunished."

I wish I had a steady place to put my camera, or a camera that can show me what I'm doing as I do it.
MarshalGrover 3 years ago
I take it your camera doesn't have a tripod, or one of those little pull-out LCD screens?
GroverKent 3 years ago
Nope. I've got a FLiP. It's basically a small rectangle that takes videos.
MarshalGrover 3 years ago
Boy, the rectangle sure is the most versitile shape, ain't it?
GroverKent 3 years ago
Yep. They make great doors, bricks, cinder blocks, tables, couches, microwaves, beds...

Just NOT TVs or computers if you know what I mean. ;P

I love this monster. I hope Mona enjoys her Valentine "box" and Steve gets over his tummy ache.
