That may be just because the way some words sound in Japanese is similar to how they would sound if someone said them as if they were reading Spanish.

The thing is, I'm from Spain -that's in Europe, I'm sure some people didn't know it, lol- so to me it doesn't sound like Spanish at all, but perhaps if you learn it as a foreign language it may do =)

Apart from that, it's true that I find Japanese really easy to pronounce =D
