Very touching song. A common song on the father daughter dance at weddings. And every time i have been at a wedding that played it, it has always go to me; including my own. I will never forget my wifes father tapping me on my shoulder and cutting in to this song.

I went to a wedding , & it was the father/daughter dance . & this song came on . I started to cry my eyes out . you could only image the feelings that was going threw the brides father . especially when the part came on 'but its still hard for me to give her away ' .

@mikkyfab1. Yes, it is now over and everything went great thank you. Happy to hear yours did too. I shed a little tear but was able to hold it together and pull it off. Even spun her around once with a smile. You plan the wedding for a year and yes, it does go by so fast. I wish I could replay it again like in Groundhog day.... :)

I will be marrying off my "little" girl this Sunday. We will be dancing to this song and I am now locked in my office playing it over and over until I can get through it without crying. @drj1878 Well, my daughter's wedding was about 6 weeks ago and I made it through without breaking down. But I still shed a tear when I pass her empty bedroom and the missing plate at dinner time. And, my eyes are welling up as I respond here. Love and cherish every moment of your child's time home and overlook the little things that may upset you.
