Wow, only watching this now, under the much more "victorious America" frame of postwar America, do I realize how important the Mr. Smith character is to our national mythology.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease do a premake of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Pirates of the Caribbean (curse of the black pearl or Strange Tides) or Spider-Man 2. thumbs up if you want this.
whoiseyevan, LISTEN TO ME.....DON'T STOP DOING THESE PRE-MAKES.....DON'T STOP DOING THESE PRE-MAKES......DON'T STOP DOING THESE PRE-MAKES....DON'T STOP DOING THESE PRE-MAKES...DON'T STOP DOING THESE PRE-MAKES.......
I have spent the past evening watching your "premakes", and you sir... are pretty damned creative! Excellent work. But, I have a challenge for you if you don't mind:
Kill Bill.
I've been very impressed with your work so far, so I figured what's one request. If you do take it up I'll look forward to it
Marlon Brando as Lt. Dan...strangely enough, it works! And Jimmy is awesome, lovable as always. You made very good choices here. Great job. I love it. :D
Jimmy Stewart was in real life an US Air Force Reserve officer flying bomber planes since the Korean war till the Vietnam war, not many actors today can serve their country & be an active thespian, can Brad Pitt top that?
@TogieTung: Please don't pull that bullshit on the rest of us, okay? The wars since WW II have all been shit that nobody should be fighting in. And if you think that all Hollywood people of Stewart's generation loved WW II, I've got some late breaking news for you, just one person to mention; Lew Ayres (All Quiet On The Western Front, Dr. Kildare film series)-he declined Uncle Sam's greetings because he hated war of any kind. Look it up.
Wow, it never ocurred to me that the "lasso the moon" scene in It's a Wonderful Life is almost identical to the scene in Forrest Gump where Jenny returns to her childhood home...freakin' genius editing.
Mr. smith goes to washington .WOW, Its a wonderful life ,Captains courageous. Harvey' one of my all time favorites', To kill a mockingbird, great work!!!!!!!!!!
I want to pitch an idea for you. What if you did Ed wood doing The silence of the Lambs. With Ed Wood being into cross dressing in Glen/Glenda you could use footage of him as Buffalo Bill and you can use footage of Bela Lugosi as Hannibal Lector. Just an idea.
Before it started, I guessed who would play Forrest Gump. I guessed Andy Griffith. I was wrong.

I have no idea what you could do with these suggestions for another "pre-make" trailer:
Night of the Living Dead
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Titanic
Blade Runner
Indiana Jones' Raiders of the Lost Ark
Journey to the Center of the Earth
The Pink Panther
Mission Impossible
