  • anyone interested in learning this and a lot more its called XCM xtreme card manipulation. You can start by buying the xtreme beginners dvd from ellusionist . c o m

by the way these are all basics that you will learn very quickly search de'vo xcm to see the pro's of xcm

  • Very impressive!!!

  • lol one hand shuffle

  • All the stuff in the beginning was somewhat hasty and rusty, but the 1 handed shuffle was (nearly) perfect. Good job.

  • 0:20 "That is NOT as easy as I made it look!"

You didn't make it look easy at all.

  • I actually do this without the pinky support. It's the same result but my pinky is too short so it can't hold the bottom.

  • Practice more....

  • @BassmrDK sorry, that's as good as it's going to get. I'm 20 years past the time when I was spending a lot of time learn to do these things well. I'm glad I could still do it at all.

  • How long does it take to learn this on average MystryBox? And do you have to have some kind of talent or can anyone learn these tricks?

  • @dutchbb1979 I think anyone can learn to do moves like these... it just takes some practice. I'm only doing them OK, not great. I can't really say how long it would take to learn... it depends on the person and how good they are with their hands. I learned most of these things as a kid who spent a lot of time practicing sleight of hand and such... so I suppose I could learn pretty quickly. I would think the basic single hand cut can be learned in an afternoon of pratice...

  • i loved the last one

  • 14 humans have no arms

  • @dovys17 What are you talking about?

  • @superchef78 dislikes

  • @dovys17 Oh. That doesn't inherently mean that they have no arms though (merely because they disliked the video).

  • watch my one handed cuts. comments please

  • @blackandrej very nice.

  • The shuffle thing at the end was pro O: but it was kinda funny cos your hand shook so much! ahaahah

  • @Jayd3e101 when I was younger I was smooth but it's been around 20 years since I did this. I'm happy I could still do it at all.

  • That last trick was my favourite.

  • not bad man

  • not bad

  • Wow i gotta learn that

  • Awesome.

  • last 1 rokked

  • looked good to me

  • Would of been nice to see a rev cut or a triple charlier, the moves was ok but not so smooth and i think fast was out of the question.

  • Considering I hadn't done it for 20 years I thought I did it pretty good. But yeah I wouldn't be doing these in any professional capacity anymore.

  • Also the triple cut shouldn't be done fast, it should be done smoothly and deliberately.

  • @MystryBox The "triple cut" you know is different to the one i know. And also, you can still do it smoothly with speed.

  • You're left handed, aren't you?

  • Nope, I'm right handed but most my flourishes I learned to do with my left hand because it's the hand that holds the cards in dealing position when you're right handed.

  • That one hand shuffle was awsome

  • i love the onehanded bridge

at the end. good work dude

  • WOW...

I've always wanted to do these tricks, ever since I saw it on Lock Stock.

  • your shaking man

  • Yeah, it's been a long time and I'm rusty. Too much caffeine too.

  • OWNED.. good moves man:)

  • Lol your hands are very shakey, cool trick i hope to learn it and im 13 ;p just gotta buy those cards xD

  • Yep. I haven't done these moves in a long, long time. I had to practice a while just to be able to do them again.

  • Can you show me how to do that with your right hand? :-D

  • I can't do it... my hands are too small.

  • I learned when I was a kid and had very small hands... I used bridge size cards.

  • Very professional, keep up the good work.

  • cool shuffle :D

  • kuya pangoy kaw ba yan??

  • I shall practice these and no doubt get rather angry doing it.

  • Nice one handed shuffle - quite an unusual set up but that might be where I'm going wrong! How long did that take you?

  • I don't recall exactly as I learned as a child. I also might do it slightly differently than books might say to do it as I didn't read it in a book but just figured a way to do it after seeing someone do it once. The weave is the toughest thing.

  • Yeah, I always have problems with the weave. I usually resort to "sawing" the two packets until the do!

  • If you want to see a professional, do a youtube search for the video "ONE HANDED SHUFFLE AND BUTTERYFLY CUT by ryan randles". Holy cow. Makes my shuffle look positively feeble.

  • I think you are strangely like you. My name looks like yours, i'm interested in manipulation (Derren Brown for example) and can do exactly the same card tricks as you do, only the first one better and the last one not. :) Perhaps we even like the same music.

  • When I was younger I was into bands like The Moody Blues, Elton John, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, etc... but today my playlists are mostly filled with the empty calories of electronic and dance. Somehow my taste in music became sexualized the last several years. I don't even know the names of most the bands, but I prefer upbeat songs with submissive female vocals. Sunrise by Angel City would be a good example. It's junk but I like how it makes me feel.

  • I'm a big fan of dance music as well. I'm also a musician so I enjoy songs made by other passionate musicians. BTW that shuffle at the end was very cool.

  • Thanks :)

  • how do you do the shuffle at the end?

  • lots of practice, no life, etc.. lol jk

    im guessing lots of practice

  • i need someone to teach me it... i know one kid, but he doesnt know how to speak english!! :\

  • that last one was really cool! i won't even bother attempting to learn that haha

  • Nice skills

  • Are you using 52 cards for the first bit?

  • Yes, the cuts are done with a standard poker size bicycle deck of 52 cards. The extra cards you see on the box are the jokers.

  • if you're interested in getting back into this stuff, i suggest dan and dave's material

  • Dan and Dave?

  • yeah, they've pretty much created a big portion of modern card manipulation. their site is dananddave dot com

  • Thanks, I'll check it out. Though I doubt I'll be getting back into anything serious again.

  • pretty good

  • I don't like blue cards. Very nice cuts though, where did you learn them?

  • I really don't recall it was so long ago.... though I think I might have learned the triple cut out of Bill Tarr's "Now You See It, Now You Don't!: Lessons in Sleight of Hand" way back when.

  • Thanks, that is the only one I really wanted to know.

  • wow

  • LOL!! I am impressed!

  • i like your responses to the commments...

  • Hey mystrybox me again nice trick im learning card tricks these days aswel cos of derren brown ;)

  • more practise needed me thinks....but still, very nice. But i'm faster =P

  • This is weird... I make all kinds of controversial videos about atheism with no problem. I make a couple magic related videos and every magician around wants to compare dick size.

This is stuff I learned as a kid and I really don't give two shakes if you're faster or smoother or whatever. I'm not 12 anymore and I'm not going to spend hours getting a fan or shuffle done perfectly anymore because it doesn't matter. Maybe if women cared about this stuff I might, but they don't.

  • MystryBox, are you left handed? Just curious. It seems like it would be easier to do with your dominant hand or would you say that one should try it with both. Id hate to go insane trying to think I SHOULD be able to do this with either hand.

  • No, I'm right handed. But when you're right handed you hold the deck in your left hand and deal with your right, so my left hand is what learned held-deck flourishes like these. You throw out a one handed shuffle or a couple cuts and then go right into dealing (or whatever the trick was) without having to switch the deck to the other hand.

  • I believe this takes very little practice and can be done much faster. Chubby fingers may be worse than long ones.

  • Difficulty is relative to the person. Most of my subscribers are not magicians and telling them it's easy is misleading. The basic cuts can be done by anyone with some practice and they look good done fast. The triple cut is much harder (but might not be difficult for magicians), but it looks better done deliberately and cleanly rather than fast. One handed shuffle is not too difficult but people with no experience might not find it so (the weave is key and depends on card condition).

  • I've never had a problem with the condition of the cards stopping me execute the one handed faro, although the Nortis Cascade comes out all clumpy.. It does of course depend entirely on whether or not you want a perfect weave or not.. that really is difficult..

  • Nice man, are you just now learning cardistry?

  • When I was younger I did magic professionally and could do all sorts of flourishes, pressure fans, smear fans, split fans, back and front palms, etc. But that was 20 years ago. Derren's videos actually got me interested in my past again... The shuffles and cuts I can still do but I've lost most of the sleights and fans.

  • thx
