it's very interesting to watch how these grandmasters analyze their moves, Shirov repeatedly says "create mess" , that proves his style of play , fearless and ferocious. He loves complications and fire on the board, Tal like.

Shirov beat Kramnik fair and square and then had his title shot taken away from him. The reasoning was that Kasparov had never lost a game to Shirov and so the match wouldn't be a money spinner or generate interest from the public. Kramnik walks in and wins the title. For this reason alone, although there are plenty of others, I have zero respect for Kasparov. I'm glad it backfired on him
