    God bless

  • @MsAppleofhiseye Same To You

  • My favorite version of all...so lively and brilliantly done.

  • What choices we make in life TODAY if we don't repent and believe in Christ..will be the "chains" we carry in eternity. Choice Course Consequence. Eternity is to long to be wrong.

  • My favorite part...Scrooge is so darling when he's young and I love the song.

  • @redrocklove Me 2

  • Happiness has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs, and it is definitely one of my favorite parts of this movie.

  • @Jaxon0619 Mine 2

  • This is my favorite of the numerous Christmas Carol movies even though there are many I like. My son Easton and I watch it together each holiday. This version also has the best scenes concerning Isabel the girl he was to marry. The song associated with it always gets to us. Even though this movie doesn't mention Christ - the meaning is quite clear that mankind is our business - Jesus died to take away our sins. One life twill soon be passed, only what's done for Christ will last.

  • In the famous words of Adam Sandler...."YOU BLEW IT!"

  • so sad

  • Ghost of Christmas Past looks like iSam's Mom!

  • Without a doubt one of my very favourite films of all-time, Albert Finney, Dame Edith Evans and Kenneth More are nothing short of brilliant in this film and every member of the cast are all excellent too.

  • this film has such a great message, just like the book. regret your past sins, and turn to love :)

  • Maybe it is the addition of the 'Musical Theatre' element, but every sentiment in this version seems even more keenly expressed

  • Everywhere they go they have to go along with her parents. Maybe that's why they broke up.

  • To be fair the Scrooge, the dance *is* a bit complicated. :)

  • Albert Finney did such an amazing job with this role. When I am not busy being angered by the unrelenting apathy for others, I will find myself laughing at his childish stubborness and lack of self-awareness, and then even crying for him during his painful realizations of his own life and all the hurt he has caused for the only ones he ever really loved. You can see the pain in his eyes here, and truly sense the emotion he is portraying.

  • @bbillyson ronald neame who directed this movie died this year, one of his best movies and one my favorites . rip mr neame.

  • @bbillyson ..I agree-it's terribly sad.

  • @bbillyson Well and beautifully said, kind sir. I wholeheartedly agree.

  • @bbillyson Albert Finney joins Alastair Sim and George C. Scott as one of the best Scrooges on film.

  • @bbillyson I couldn't have said that better myself my friend. Albert Finney did a wonderful job as Scrooge. He plays his part very well. He's an amazing person. God bless his soul

  • @masteroftheassassins GO EBENEZER!!!!

  • @bbillyson I agree. This movie tears me up during the part where he reminisces about his lost love. I do the same thing almost every christmas when I remember the fiance I lost. The only difference is that Scrooge knows what he could have done to fix it. I don't

  • "I have two books on Dickens ( Dickens of London, etc.), and I wouldn't trade either. So much information is given about those days!"

  • I did not know that Victorian Londoners could dance do well and be choreographed so accurately.

All of these lower class Dickensian Londoners are able to dance like professional theater group people.

  • Who played the younger Ebenezer Scrooge in this section?

  • @TLDriver66 The same, Albert Finney.

  • @TLDriver66 Albert finney, The same guy that played old scrooge. The wonders of Makeup eh?

  • there isnt anything I wouldnt give to part of those times, man could work and find a good woman and have a simple life. Now the economies shot, everything is facebook, texts, emails and all we do is work...tragic...what do you think?

  • @actuary33 You're correct life was simpler then, but there were negatives too, there were people so poor they hardly knew where the next meal was coming from, children were worked to death in workhouses, people were oppressed and if you got sick there was less they could do for you. But I see your point to a certain extent. Sometimes I wish for a simpler time too.

  • i wish i could go 2 that party

  • @OneTrueLionessQueen You're not alone in that.

  • I second that!
