    - does anyone know where i can get the sheet music for the violin part?

  • Why would you need sheet music? If you were skilled enough, you could ear-transpose this down by memory! ^_^

AMAZING WORK! This is classic Chinese music!

  • Sure enough! If you were "skilled enough", you could write a piece of your own.

  • ...wonderful

  • A favourite mine... if only I played the violin.. piano versions are just not comparable. Thnaks for posting!

  • ey can you post the piano version...i would like to learn from it...thanks

  • can you send me that song????

  • Thanks for this top-quality recording! Can barely see it is played by Mr. Sheng, definitely his style, not as vibrant and youthful as that of Ms. Yu... The concerto follows an ancient legend that has served as the basis for a number of Chinese operas. Scored for a solo violin and Western orchestra, the work makes use of themes from traditional Shaoxing opera, while the solo violin part mimics Er-Hu, the 2-string Chinese fiddle. It's about 30 min. long in 3 divisions.
