Every filipino singer I see on Youtube: Rin on the Rox, Stacy Dudero, Charice Pempengco, Regine Velasquez, Kyla, Lani Misalucha, Lea Salonga, JAER, etc.......so many of them, including ya, are always so GOOD at singing.

I'm not filipino, but I watch lots of asian singers throughout asia and I have to say, HANDS DOWN, Filipino singers are the best of all the asians! WOW!

Because of you beautiful singers out there, I have been watching filipino singers for 5 years now!

I disagree. I'm studying voice and I believe Lydia's technique is on a different level. Kat has a lot of strength in her voice, but the key to singing well isn't to push the notes to make it sound good, but to free up the throat and let the voice resonate freely with the correct amount of air pressure and proper voice placement (directing it by raising the soft palate).

This is how vibrato occurs and how you get that rich unmistakable tone which, to a large extent, is absent in Kat.

But that isn't to say that Lydia is perfect. When she tries to sing her higher notes, instead of moving up a register, she stays in the chest register. As a result, it strains her voice because she doesn't have much control over it.

You may notice that her notes are most mellifluous when she is in a comfortable range. Her vibrato and tone are also the most pronounced in that range.
