I've got to go with the Fenders. They sound a little hotter, a bit fuller, better definition. Everyone's tastes are different, but I'd go for the Fenders.
Fender sounds more full bodied and less hollow. BKP really do sound tinny and bitey (not in a good way!) To my ears, they surprisingly win comfortably! Had read a lot and I mean a lot of hype about BKP and quite surprised to hear this. Great! Don't have to spend as much to upgrade my MIM. would be curious to hear these against SD broadcaster or Jerry Donahue!
I have a set of BK Brown Sugars in my (1988) 69 Tele Thinline. It's also fitted out with Glendale bridge/saddles/string ferrules, new pots, cap, wiring & jack. It is the ballsiest Tele I've ever played, bar none. Bite, balls, edge and clarity are what these pups are all about. They are f*cking exciting - way better than vintage Noiseless..
@TheSchoolsux345 yes it is. I put a vintage bridge on and just after this vid was made I put brass saddles in. Sounds so much better for such a small change.
For dirty tones, the Fender Noiseless have a lot more bite and character. They really grabbed my ear. The Bare Knuckles seemed tinny, flat. Maybe it sounds different in the room than compressed for a YT vid.
sorry im no good english but i need many help to this higth on pick up is adjusting. i sounds like im playin note and they lose sustane then i go higer and still go to no sustane didnt get beter after??????
I think in your Vid the Sugars sound thinner but sharper, shure a bit more "tele like". The Noiseless are fater/thicker, a bit toward the younger croaky Clapton sound.I like the Noiseless more in here.
You did very good test. Thats how pups must be tested- on same guitar & settings. Difference is not toooooo noticeable. Noiselesses are lil' colder, more compression. BKB- more sweet, they're really good. Keep on =)

Which Pups do you prefer ? -- Jerry -- AKA -- HUTCHfromBA .

Bare Knuckle pickups sound a lot better. Let more of the guitars natural tone come thru.

I seem to be one of the only ones who like the BKPs. To me they seemed snappier, more alive, and had better note definition.

Definitely preferred the sound of the Fender in the bridge, the neck pickups sound about even though. Thanks for the comparison.

Thanks for this demo. This was very helpful to me. I think both pickups sound "Tele" enough for my ears. I'm getting a set of Vintage Noiseless.

I prefer the fender pups surprisingly, they have more character.

what makes "Noiseless Pickups" noiseless?

Clean Tone would be more useful - shure.

thanks this was really useful, but having some clean tones on there would have been most useful - i.e set your amp to clean.

The difference isn't worth the price of a whole new set of pickups.

Fender Noiseless...they've got a warmer & fuller blues tone than the Brown Sugar. Though the Brown Sugar has more bite in the mids.
