go Align for sure, but I would start with a 450 size. They are far cheaper to repair. When you have your 450 down, then go 600...

Cheaper to repair maybe... but far difficult to learn on mate. The bigger the heli, the more the weight -> The more the weight the better the the stability -> The better the stability, the easier it is for you to learn. And relatively speaking, the 600 spares are not all that expensive... You dont have to have to go on with top of the electronics and lipos...

Trust me, this is one gem of a chopper. Got 2 myself.

also jus to metion im more of a scale flyer i wont be flying very far like 3d ppl, i think dx6i is like 1.5 mile radio or something, i just wonder if that tx n rx will work, its 6 ch.

my heli came with a 9 ch JR9303 in it, maybe a better idea to get that matching rx?

hmmm, do you think the DX6I could fly that heli? I have it from the blade 400. Cuz im used to that TX. so do you think its a good idea. Also If not, I may want to get that DX7 like you, can u tell me which receiver you use it with? or is that a package? Go 600, you will never regret it. They are AWESOME! The only time I fly my 450 anymore is in the winter. And only because they won't let me fly my 600 in the golf dome where we winter fly.

What sort of battery/motor setup are you running and what flight times? I doubt I would be doing any 3d for a while as my skills are not even close to being there yet. So maybe the most I would be doing right now is track loops and fig. 8's and the like. Mostly want that thing due to its size :)

I know exactly how you did feel.. I made my first flight EVER with ANY flying machine few days ago. Ofcourse I recorded it, have a look behind my videos section and share a comment. i have nitro pne ans spent about 2500.00 include starter and every thing i need to fly. and i hade electric before and i love nitro you get way more power. and better controll. but again electric is way more quiet.

What had you flown before the 600?

I started with a CX-2 by E-Flight. I flew it for about a month and then bought a T-Rex 450,then a CP Pro, then the 600. Started flying last spring and LOVE it! Heli's are the shiz!!!

It was more than a little scary sending $1000 to china, then waiting and hopeing like hell it comes! Hopfully it's just held up somewhere. How do like the eflite 400? Kick Ass! I'm glad you got it ok! Thanks for the heads up on the 400. We have sold about 6 at my store and got 2 back, that is a really poor showing for a new product. I'm going to cancell my plug and play version, thanks for saving me a couple hundred bucks. I'm not sure if it is the same in the UK, but we just got info from Spektrum, they are running a deal right now, you get an extra RX with any Spektrum system you buy. Fill out the coupon, send it with a copy of recepit for a free extra RX!

I'm running the Futaba 2.4ghz rig with the metal servos and external BEC leaving the ESC to deal with the motor (Basic 600 CF) what's the spec on yours ?. It does hover like its hanging from a rope :)

DX-7 radio. mine is also a basic CF 600. The combo I bought did come with some cool upgrades, Metal Servo's, aluminum blade grips, control arms and stuff, along with a crash kit (boom,Mshaft,Fshaft,flybar,etc­) also came with a giant carry bag! Got the combo for $1000 on e-bay

I think your blades are a little to tight, they are supposed to bend back. Also, when you start flying the heli should wobble for a second until the blades straighten out

I haven't touched my 450's since I got the 600's (this one and a pro nitro) They are AWESOME!!! You will love it!!! I'll keep my 450's for indoor flying this winter, but I'm flyin big choppers from here on out. Thanks for the nice comment!

Thanks! I allready had a DX-7 radio and I got a great deal on the copter. RCmachine on e-bay, one of their combo kit's. $1000 for Heli,metal gear Servo's,some metal upgrades, spare shafts,battery,carry bag,401gyro, 9254 tail servo, plus a bunch of other stuff. I had some concerns about sending $1094.00 to China, but my copter and all the stuff was here (michigan) inside a week, it is awesome!!! I'll have my nitro 600 up and running soon. C-Ya...

Scary moment at the start, then, like you said very stable. Bit of a tail shake, but that could be the blades setting with the revs. Tracking looks good. Shame about the blood sucking insect trying to eat your head during a maiden flight - a bit of a distraction I would of thought.
