My uncle master carver and painter Terry Starr was comissioned to build this replica. The painting on the front of the house is a reconstruction of a screen used in the Coast Tsimshian village of Port Simpson in the mid-1800s. The central figure represents a bear, and the flanking figures represent wolves. Terry later went on to build a full scale bighouse for the village of Port Simpson.
