Actually White has not played the fried liver attack yet and this is the Traxler counterattack against 4.Ng5 preventing the fried liver... I think White is fine after 5.Bxf7+Ke8 - Taking with the knight without delivering check and just aiming for a quality exchange allows Black too much counterattacking potential thanx for posting
That's the Traxler (or Wilkes-Barry), and White's best attempt is Kf1! instead of Kxf2. Even though, White's game (and Black's game also) is not easy.
This is very risky because if the king doesn't take the black bishop on F2, instead moving to F1, you are in a pretty bad position. Had some great wins with it though.
@thisisthegloaming There is the trap you can play when you are in that positon. First, move your queen to Qe7, out of danger. Then, when he takes your rook (bad move) move your D pawn to d5. If he takes, you next move is Bg4, winning the queen. Try it out!

if the king refuses to take the black bishop then white is clearly winning, black has lost

@HarryPotter; Be2 saves the Queen. Unless White played BxP in response to d5, which would be a mad move anyway. Am I missing something?

On the move right before CM, why not Ke2? Also, when it is "Checkmate, why can't he do Ke2?

at 2:50 you want to continue 1...Qf2+ 2. Ke3 Nb4#
if you play Qf4 the king can go to e2 after Nb4+. It's still mate after Qf2 but playing that move first is faster ;)

If white plays Kf1, instead of Kxf2, then black loses quickly.

That is not Fried Liver Attack! This is Traxler Variation of the Two Knights Defence.
