You can back to mac an empty viva glam container, you just cant get one as a free product when you back to mac because all the money that each viva glam product sells is actually donated to charity. You cant donate to charity if you get it for free. Ive back to mac'd a viva glam lipstick with no problems.

Have you recently tried to B2M eyelash containers? I had about 15 of them lying around and took them in to a MAC store and they said no, that they don't count, and that was just two months ago. Just curious to know if you'd heard of a change. Thanks!

@sonatuhlee --Actually no, not in quite a few months. I wonder if they have changed their policy. That sucks. Maybe you could check with a different MAC store in your area and see if they say the same thing?

i went to a mac store NOT a counter with 12 empty items and got 2 lipsticks, i could only chose lipsticks and only from the permanent line. That sucks, i wanted some eyeshadows. I think every mac store does what it wants ( I'm also referring to that pans in the pot thing,thank god my store did not care that i depotted everything)

I heard this is a recent change in the B2M policy. I don't know if it's true or not. If you B2M MAC eyeshadows, do you need to include the empty pan in the eyeshadow pot now? Cuz people depot their eyeshadows and need to keep the pan (cuz it's holding the product!). If you could clarify this for me, that would be great. Cuz I dono if it's a rumor or not. Thank you!

@satinchic--No its not a rumor. It's true. But not all MAC stores enforce this. There have been times that I was able to use my empty pans and others where I have been turned away.

You might have to do trial and error at a few MAC stores or counters :)

Yep =] I asked the MAC artist's on the websites go check out the web site. and I asked the artist's at the mac store's they told me you can depot eyeshadows and quads (so the no pan is fine)

Oddly enough none of my back2mac freebies have ever been marked. Maybe its up to the particular sales associate but each time I get a freebie they never mark it...maybe they forget....

Yes, you can mix and match in any combination as long as it equals to 6 :)

Wait you can just take one of the dazzleglass or cremeglass and that will give you one liptick? I got lost lol I have only back2mac one time. It was the basics as well eyeshadows foundation containers

No you still need to trade in 6 empties but now instead of just being able to get a lipstick, lipglass or eyeshadow....MAC is letting you get a dazzleglass or cremesheen.

But you have to go to a MAC store, not counter :)

I was at a MAC store to do my first back 2 MAC 2 months ago and the manager accused me of having fake containers which they weren't most of the colors I had bought from that store. She screamed at me in front of everyone and escorted out of the store. I was so upset I reported her to MAC csutomer service and to her manager. I started buying MAC again last month.
