@crankedmunkie CoD is easily one of my favorites. It's so underappreciated. People keep expecting a SotN facsimile. CoD was by no means a subpar game, but because it strayed too much from the SotN formula, people gave it hell.

Glad to know someone else exists who appreciates it. xD

I am also tired of people ignoring all the other awesome music in this series in favor of the Big Three most remixed songs (Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears, and Beginning). I do consider those three very good songs in their own right, but they're massively overused.

I haven't heard any of the tunes from PoR, so I can't comment on those. I do think SotN has the best soundtrack in the series overall, so I agree with your inclusion of several SotN tracks in this.

@anomalocarlos I couldn't agree more. I find the likes of Wicked Child, Beginning, Vampire Killer and Bloody Tears to be incredibly trite and entry-level. As you said, great songs in their own ways, but Michiru Yamane & Co. have done far, far, far better.

As for Sinking Old Sanctuary, I like both version. CotM I like most because of the thick bass.

@Pseudopathaso I don't find them entry-level at all; I think they're excellent songs, and among the best in the series. I just think they're overused. Even the very best music can be overused.

@anomalocarlos I've always found them to be both overused and over-appreciated. In light of a song such as, say, Dance of Illusion, I truthfully see nothing appealing about those few songs.

Don't get me wrong. I, too, think they're fantastic. But in comparison to others, I see very little.

Somebody's probably already said this, but the original version of The Sinking Old Sanctuary (from Bloodlines) is way better than the Circle of the Moon version. Still a kickass song either way.
