  • Oh...ye gods...can anything make me sob more than this episode of B5??!!!!!??

  • There hasn't been a good science fiction show on TV since Babylon 5.

  • Fantanastic hommage to such an underrated series, music was devine.Good work sir....

  • great vid. this was one of the greatest sci-fi series ever. it seemed to have disappeared from the channel i used to catch it on during the last season. if anyone could give me a short run down of what led to this ending i would be grateful. email is avpandora@aol.com . thank-u.

  • I used this song when I laid my dog to rest.

  • @andystruth Sorry for the lose of yours

  • @Docthewrench Appreciate that :)

  • Babylon 5 was the best Sci fi series that I have ever seen. It brought Star Trek and those others to shame. JMO!

  • Damnit, I'm all choked up yet again...

  • A fitting and well put together tribute to B5. Bravo and thanks for sharing!

  • My heart....Ugh

  • So Poignant. And so heartwrenching. Wonderfully put together.

  • Do you have the ones of Stavros? May not have the name right. He was the one going backwards in time.

It is so great having the access to the wisdom of Babylon 5 that I can share. Thank you.

  • isnt this a piece of music they also used in buffy the vampire slayer ?

  • @kaosruin yes it was buffy and angel's love theme throughout season 2 - this piece is from the S2 finale. being a massive fan of both shows i think it carries across nicely. something about needing to let go and say good bye to your love is appropriate for both relationships.

  • Babylon 5 is one of the best shows ever to hit the Television. Series and shows haven't been able to match it's story and meaning.... So much into it then meets the eye on this LOW BUDGET SHOW... There was so much Wisdom and drama and Action and I just wish They would do the same for the Spin off Crusades...They need to finish Crusades and maybe start a Babylon 6 allowing Sheridan's Son to continue what his father started... I would love to make a Babylon 6 if only I had the money and tech lol

  • @vigorosoPIMPJr B5 was the last of the babylon station ;) they do not need them anymore, they succeed to create a bridge between people. now, you could tell the stories of the alliance, of Sheridan and Delenn's son and go on. but in the end all was told.

  • @oomusd even tho The story ended well there is still that can go on, Even though Babylon 5 ended there are still major issues that were never addressed, did his plan really work to stop Centauri from attacking Earth, after they found a cure and Captain Sheridan passed away into the other life did they really get rid of the Drahk. I'm pretty sure a Babylon 6 would be a great comeback to continue the Story and the legacy

  • @vigorosoPIMPJr As stated in the last scene of the final episode, Babylon 5 was the last of the Babylon stations, so I don't think a Babylon 6 would ever be possible. I'd love to see another series in the universe of Babylon 5 though, but not a Babylon 6.

  • @sunlightson I think Babylon 6 would work fine... Babylon 5 was the last of the stations for that particular time but I believe they should make a babylon 6

  • @vigorosoPIMPJr You just don't get what the show was about at all. It was never about the station, it was about the characters. The station itself was nothing but the place in which they called home, the place where everything came together.

  • @Gallowell I do get it, and like anyone who watches movies and shows if they have an idea they can continue it....The show was about the station...and what it represented... Even the way the show started clearly stated Babylon 5 was a place for blah blah blah... Babylon 6 would be a hit show...Delen would still be alive, and her son would take President Sheridans place..and I think Centauri Prime should go nuts and start another war

  • @vigorosoPIMPJr You clearly DON'T get it if you think the show was about the station. It was the CHARACTERS it was about. The station was nothing more than a staging ground on which events transpired.

  • @Gallowell well I saw it differently, & every time I watch it All i hear is Babylon 5 was a place for beginnings & endings I wonder what this time will be =) but thats why Opinions exist. Babylon 5 was the last of the Babylon Stations..Babylon 5 is a symbol of Hope, Babylon 5 etc... The symbolism of babylon 5 is what made people do what they did, sure you are right about Events that transpired but if Babylon 5 wasn't Babylon 5 things would have been different. Even the show is called Babylon 5

  • @vigorosoPIMPJr Yes, the station itself is a place for beginnings and endings, but it really is nothing but the place in which they worked from. You could pretty much say the same thing about if the series were set aboard a spaceship - the spaceship will always be there, but in the end, it's what the characters do that make everything 'begin' and 'end'.

  • BABYLON 5 Rules... The crusades Spin off should be finished so they can do another show.... they should definitely make a Babylon 6 and have Sheridan's Son take his place....

  • Babylon 5 is and was the best sci-fi tv series ever made, and ever shall be made.

  • the best sci-fi episode ever!

  • I saw this episode on german tv 5 minutes ago...and i am sad now! :,(

  • Requiem æternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.

  • A show that allowed us to see how both outside events and those within our own sphere can be more related then well ever know.

  • An under appreciated contribution to sci-fi excellence.

  • :( RIP Andreas and Richard

  • @chrisalexander21 i know the guy that played G'kar died..but whos Richard?

  • @KeithWasHere1 Richard played the doctor.

  • Great you took the love theme of "Buffy&Angel" here - because I guess Buffy had, together with B5, the best Finale ever in a TV show!!

  • Babylon5 is one of the forgotten greats, to have that many storylines running at the same time is an act of genius. love it !!

  • @sammyatlantis It's not forgotten. It can never be forgotten!

  • i remember watching this show when i was so much younger, but totally forgot how long it was ago. And re-watching it, i was amaze how this show can survive time, the B5 storyline and graphic are still so current as compared to the recent sci-fi if any is as good. B5 will always be the best show i ever watched.

  • @abhome you are right.The Best

  • What´s name of the song?

    Excelent work! :) 5stars :)

  • the song is the buffy and angel theme as far asi know, it was their "love song" lol

  • I don't know which is sadder .. when Sheridan walks away from Delenn, pauses but doesn't look back ... when Delenn hugged that pillow (I wonder if that was in the script or did Mira Furlan just do it in the moment ... I thought an extra on the DVD's said she just did it) ... or when J. Michael Straczynski threw that "off" switch.

I've never seen any media expression in any form as meaningful as Babylon 5 (perhaps a very select few musical pieces reach this level to me).

  • I also have that DVD. I think JMS mentions on the commentary for the last episode that the pillow thing was something that Furlan came up with on her own

  • JMS has to be the greatest extra who doesnt speak a single word. I think it was fitting that he wrote himself for the part of the maintance dude who got to shutdown the station. He "activated" it after all.

  • That was his point, he said so in the commentary as well. He wanted to be the one to shut it down, and you should see on his face in those seconds he pulled the lever the 5 years of his work.

  • -You, the brightest star on my horizon..

-You are my sky, and my sun, and my moon..

They really have been that for each other. The most beautiful declaration of love

  • One helluva series!

  • One of tghe best endings of a series I have ever experience. Thanks JMS for great storytelling and great television. It was an ending worth crying over.

  • glad i wasnt the only male to cry for this haha. pff i was glad i was alone at the time and i will never ever watch this with someone else.

Sniff. (pls watch brotherhood of war movie thats also a cry blast)

  • god damn why this sires have to end so soon lol i cried good work

  • watched this in england new years day 1999, what a final episode! and a amazing series.

will stay with me to my final day!

  • I watched this ending a hundred times and it still makes me cry... This is the most inspiring story I have ever watched...Thank you for the beautiful music.

  • You've watched this ending 100 times? Wow, you're brave *LOL* I couldn't do that. I've had the series on DVD for a few years now. I cried throughout the episode from beginning to end when it first aired. And I tried watching it for the second time in my life just recently, and I couldn't finish the episode because I was so distraught and sad. My face was so red, and I felt like I was at a funeral. What a whimp I am *LOL*

  • I saw this episode twice... both times I cried although I tried not to. I'm not sure if I will ever have enough courage to watch it again. This is perfect ending of perfect series. But even watching this vid makes me cry... Why must perfect things always end?

  • the firsta tima that i see this scene ,,,i cry,,,and the second time,,,and still now...is a great end,,to one great story

  • that was cool the best end to BABYLON 5

  • I Love Babylon5....our friends Andreas Katsulas and Richard Biggs...i know you are here and we will niver forget you;) "Each voice enriches us and ennobles us and each voice lost diminishes us."(G'Kar)

  • I have something in my eye.

  • no, you didn't....to lost friends and lost allies............faith manages, even this time of year. Jack, Jon, Alisha, Gabe, Chris, Jason. We still miss you.

  • Amber, Jon, Jason, Seth, Nick, Drew, SOS, TYBE.

  • Evrytime i see this i cry tahnk you for the memories

  • I never got to see the last episode. Knowing how much I enjoyed Babylon 5, this piece sure brought a lump to my throat. Thank you so much.

  • if you want to see the final 5 minutes, search for "sleeping in light last 5 minutes of babylon 5

  • I love that home that place in my mind where it all happened, it was so nice to escape.

  • Only thing that would make this retrospective more touching would be to keep poignant dialogue included w/in the musical score.

  • Totally agree. Like when they toast, the doc is about to say "Markus" and Ivanova says it instead.

  • The BSG and B5, the best sci-fi in recent memory.

  • Their almost done with the movie.

    Babylon 5: The Lost Tales

Its direct to DVD and will be out July 31, 2007.

  • New B5 is coming out in July of this year. It's going to fill in all the peices that were left out in the story and more then likely continuing the show in some way, shape or form. Well, one could hope? anyway. Thought I would post about the news.

  • In life I am a real big bad billy ass but I get teary eyed when I see this last episode. Was a great story that stuck to the story. I have never gotten emotional over a star trek episode. But B5 was a great story and it ended as it shold have and its a tear jerkier as it should have been.

  • I just got teary eyed thinking about Sheridan's walkabout. :(

  • Great vid, great show. Isn't the music buffy and angel? love it!! B5 was great, only show that is equally good is the new BSG.

  • Brilliant vid. Thanks for making it. B5 - best show ever. Makes it all the more fitting a tribute considering the loss of Richard Biggs & Andreas Katsulas.

    B5 forever.

  • Where have I been? I did not know of the loss of 'our' friends from B5 until this. I am so sad.

  • Does anyone remember how badly channel 4 treated B5 in the UK for the last series? Showing the last episodes on a Sat morning!

  • Babylon 5 NO RIP !

Вавилон 5 всегда будет с нами жить пока мы его помним !

  • Old friends reunited one last time,a love match, the greatest love match in the Babylon 5 saga, the inevitable tragedy of an early death,& the friends saying one last farewell to the old place,R-I-P Babylon 5,what wonderfull story

  • Why didn't the sci fi channel pick up crusade?

  • Like B5 before it, JMS was going to heat the show up later on in the shows History and what was made, was the general intro to the whole thing.

Also, Sci-fi showed the first 5 or 6 shows during the World series or something like that, so the viewing figs where crap!!! Be calm though, JMS is working on a new set of shows, straight to DVD that cover season five of B5 in better detail.

  • WOW! Beautiful! Great movie about a great show and that was a perfect music choice. You had a great subject but you still did a great work putting it together. Kudos on the editing and thanks for reminding me of how awesome B5 was - its been a couple of years since I watched it (and cried)

  • You know what makes this even sadder, That this was the same music in a Buffy episode where Buffy was forced to kill Angel so that the world was saved. :(

  • What exactly was the music for this? I have to get a copy of that... and beautifully done video, btw. Thanks so much for sharing...

  • Andreas Katsulas, RIP.

    Richard Biggs, RIP.

    Babylon 5, RIP.

  • Andreas Katsulas is also dead? Man, so sad.

  • Yup. From smoking, apparently.

  • I love this show !! thanks much for the upload it rocked!

  • A very good one...I love this serie and the last episode was great!

    Thanks for this!

The music from Buffy was excellent for the amv

  • Once again, a stellar job. And again, what is the music for this?

  • To imagine that I cried at the last episode of this fantastic show. I felt so bad seeing the Babylon station getting blown up. This video is an excellent example of what Babylon 5 really was. And I miss it.

5 stars for this wonderfull video and wonderfull show.

  • yes, this was a good series. Let its name be a legend and myth in human cultural history

  • RIP Tim Choate (Zathras), also. What a cast. What a series.

  • Wow! I can't watch Sleeping in Light without crying throughout the whole episode. The same goes for the episode CD. This video had the same effect. What a fantastic job you did.

  • Was and still is the greatest show ever. Never thought anything like it would touch me so much it was creative, moving, funny, thrilling and much more. The ending brought tears to my eyes. I miss it even now. JMS really knows how to show other lesser shows (you know who you are) a thing or twenty.

  • RIP Richard Biggs(Franklin)& Andreas Katsulas(G'Kar).

  • i love the season and i agree with vell116 best ending for any Sci-Fi series:(

  • Agreed - I cant watch the last episode because i get too upset! this brought it all back - never been so involved with a TV show before - amazing - JMS is a hero.

  • awesome video..tears in my eyes...

  • Best last episode of any Sci-Fi series.

  • A fitting tribute to an excellent show.

  • Agreed

  • great video using the most touching episode of Babylon 5.
