The only thing to have me keep going is the competition between myself, a sophomore, and the second chair senior. Overall, a very fun piece to play and I like how the melody moves from section to section in the piece.

My middle school Honor winds band played this for a State wide competition and got 2nd! Were entering this song in a National and are very likely to win. All of the judges thought we were a proffessional band. Ive only been playing the trombone for about 2 years and ive played at so many great places like the Morton H. Meyerson

I knew Clifton Williams and attended school in Miami, Fla with his children. He was a wonderful man and wrote many songs for our school including our Alma Mater. He wrote the Killian Concert March (named for our school) It was a beautiful piece. I especially loved Symphonic Dance #3. As I recall he directed us in this piece as guest conductor during one of our spring concerts. He was an amazing man. Such a loss to the music world the day he passed. This is a fantastic performance!

@2231portion, that explains it. Playing a piece for like 5 months makes it seem easy, the difficulty isn't about how you feel at the end of preparing it for contest, it's how it is in the beginning. I play tuba/baritone, and am playing the piece, with only 3 weeks to prepare it for concert, so I suggest you go back to worshiping Justin Beiber, or whoever you preteens worship nowadays.
