Joey's (Jeff's) fans may not know it but he wrote many of the Ramones' best songs including Sheena is A Punk Rocker.  DeeDee wrote many of the others. Their styles, humor, and musical taste were so different that they mostly wrote alone not together.

Choppy audio.... Such a shame he had to die. It looks like toward the end he gained a bit of weight but whatever. Joey will always be a big inspiration to me. It would have been nice if him and Johnny could have settled their differences. R.I.P Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee. when we lost you guy's, we lost a huge chunk of the punk scene. that bulshit was directed at the asshole that said all the smoking of 2000 plus concerts killed Joey. He didn't die of lung cancer; he died of lymphoma which anyone can develop anytime anywhere...unfortunately. Remember, he was born sickly (marfan's syndrome) which left him vulnerable to many diseases. He's such an inspiration because he overcame all his physical obstacles and triumphed. I'll always love Joey Ramone for enduring and inspiring.
