@Chprdhrv arent the avatars are born the moment the previous avatar dies? when roku died, aang was born immediately after. i remember the war starting when aang was 12, and roku had been dead for 12 years...there was a flashback that kinda hinted at that too. LOK is set 70 years in the future, so wouldnt aang have been like 82 when he died? :/
i like how the author made the ending becomes "perfect". not just a mere happy ending, but a perfect ending with a perfect problem solving (that energy bending).

Its a grafic novel that picks up right after this ends and its by the same people who made this! it comes out at the end of Jan 2012. I think its also mentioned in "legend of korra" which comes out mid-summer.

I don't think I'm exagerating when I say that this is very likely to be THE BEST american cartoon ever made. One of the most important parts of a show is to have a proper ending (rather than end in a lame cliffhanger that doesn't get resolved, or a "Bolivian Army Ending")
this show has what many consider the best ending a show could posibly have and I aplaud the fantastic effort made by the animators and voiceactors who gave life to this saga.

I guess this was the best way to end the series; Mai-Zuko and Aang-Katara being together made sure there were no loose ends, but did anyone else think that Aang and Katara's relationship had been more of a mother-child one up until this point? I mean, it just seemed kind of out of place for that to happen at the end; the greatest two examples to this are when Aang was in the avatar state at the Southern Air Temple and the desert; it was a mother that brought him out of his rage, not a lover.

@KartuneVids I know the Track Team is in the middle of recording the music for the series. Two weeks ago, they twittered they finished with the 1st episode. Who knows where they are with the remaining 11 episodes; but they make take their sweet time since the show won't air till mid 2012. (I'll "die" if it's postponed to the Fall.)

It may just be a kid's show on Nickelodeon to some people, but honestly this show has more meaning and deep emotion than most things on TV today. The entire story is just based around such great characters and events that you can't help but feel drawn in. It's nice to see a show that has that effect on you, where you couldn't wait until the next episode. Something that actually relates to our lives. Growing up this was my favorite show and it always will be!

I never believed that i would ever sit and watch any cartoons.....And I can say I was a little bored when I started watch the last airbender.....But now after 2 years I want to believe that I am a big fan, having the clothes the hairstyles or even all the books and the 3 seasons (it is huge since I'm living in Greece).....I just Wanna say AVATAR ROCKS!!!!

i know im gonna have -50000 or deleted coment after this....that kiss at the end was SO cliche that it actually ruined the moment. an "open ending" would have been better....like ok i like you and you know you like me...but....friends or lovers? in other words....3 secs BEFORE the kiss was the perfect ending with them just looking at the horizon

I hope than Avatar: The Last Airbender will be continued with the 4th book. 4th book could be about how Azula escapes the prison, Zuko searches his mother with Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Suki. Katara could be with Zuko, and Aang will be with Ty Lee, I hope so.

@KartuneVids I know the Track Team is in the middle of recording the music for the series. Two weeks ago, they twittered they finished with the 1st episode. Who knows where they are with the remaining 11 episodes; but they make take their sweet time since the show won't air till mid 2012. (I'll "die" if it's postponed to the Fall.)

It may just be a kid's show on Nickelodeon to some people, but honestly this show has more meaning and deep emotion than most things on TV today. The entire story is just based around such great characters and events that you can't help but feel drawn in. It's nice to see a show that has that effect on you, where you couldn't wait until the next episode. Something that actually relates to our lives. Growing up this was my favorite show and it always will be!

@TurkishRapTube it depends what culture and society you live in. Western society is ignorant and closed minded when it comes to sex and sexuality. But in South America, and East Asia they tell each other all the time that they love each other and nothing is said of their sexuality. Men in India walk down the street holding hands because that's their society. It's sad that western society is so homophobic and judgmental. I'm glad I'm a girl. Men are too closed off. =/

@TurkishRapTube why does it matter if a guy or more than one guy says that something is romantic? Why call that gay? We're not living in the year 1881, men are allowed to have feelings; better the sex for one. Its homophobic, because if a guy does say something to his best friend 'i love you, bro' and his friend says 'dude, thats gay'. For one the other guy is gonna feel like shit. And two, if he really is gay, his friend pretty much took away his self esteem.
that's sad to me.

its kinda like a happier star wars, continuing after with their kids and stuff, but it wil be a hell lot better than star wars. it makes me sad how most of our beloved characters are gonna be dead, but aang will appear as avatar aang, and hopefully show the rest of unaswered questions, like zukos mom, and hopefully show what happened after the comet, but i cannot wait to see it, even if it makes me sad about aangs's and friends deaths

@Guitardide8794 you didn't really ask a question, but the legend of Korra is about a water tribe girl (the next avatar, like you said) who is looking for Tenzin, who is Aang and Katara's son, because she needs to learn airbending from him (as she has already learned the other elements). There's also supposed to be clips where Korra goes into the spirit world and, like how Roku shoed Aang his past, Aang will show Korra his past. so, its all cool cuz we get to know what happened after Sozins Comet

Gonna keep all the seasons stored away ina shelf when i get older and have my kids,gonna get these dvds out,pull out a dvd player(cause by then,we'll probably have like, projections as movies 0_0) and show my kids these wonderful stories...and if they dont like it,then i will shun them..
