  • Red and Wilson!!

  • RED!

  • yer nearly made me cry.

  • is there a suicide scene I didn't finish the movie?

  • This scene is why Neil understood Todd and got along with him so well. They were the same. I loved Neil's spirit when he tried to rouse Todd from silence. Beautiful movie.

  • I can't even watch that 70s show without getting mad at Red.

  • After this movie I vowed to not watch Thats 70's Show anymore... Carpe diem Motherfuckers!

  • Neil's dad is such a sweaty-toothed madman!

  • Niel had the chance to say what was on his heart but he lost his nerve. Who knows what his dad would've said if Niel had said what he told Keating

  • @linkvashflcl He also knew how his dad would cut his words down, make them small and meaningless just as he assumed his acting passion to be. It's like telling a bully your darkest fears.

  • I saw the movie in English class and I cried when Neil died.

  • The greatest tragedy of the world is the denial and killing of a child by their own parents. The father was a self serving bastard. No money my ass, a house that good they can easily let their son become an actor. No; the father's problem was a greed for control, one that drove his son to death on the night of perhaps what was literally the greatest day of his life.

  • @adept91 Well, you don't know how much debt the family may be in, but that's beside the point. The father was obviously unhappy with his own life and successes (or lack of) and thus wanted to re-live his own life thru his son. There was nothing wrong with him encouraging his son to be a doctor instead of an actor, but for goodness' sake, the boy had earned straight A's, was well on his way to heading into the medial field. So what's the big deal if he appeared in this ONE play? Total loser.

  • What a small-minded fool! Such a man doesn't deserve to have the honor of having a child. To deny the artistic joys which ensnare the senses and enrich the soul is truly a crime.

  • "I wish I had 2000 feet! So I can put 500 in each of your asses!"

  • It's weird but Neil makes me think of Hamlet...

  • Don't you get it?! He escaped from death, went into hiding, and became an actor portraying a doctor. He found a way to balance both! =D

  • @MIIBB My kid brother and I had the same thought when this film came out...

Neil's dad wanted him to be a doctor, while he wanted to be an actor.

TV was just coming out at the time in which this movie was set. Maybe he could say, "I'll be a doctor... in a TV show!" "Dr. Kildare" and maybe "Ben Casey" were on the air too.

I haven't seen "House," but if it's so that the guy playing "Neil" here plays one of "House's" staff today... WHAT A PROPHECY!!!

    As for Neil's dad... JACKASS!!

  • Neil is not dead. it was his evil twin brother the one who commited suicide, what it really happened is that neil escaped to be an actor, but he failed and decided to be a doctor again, he changed his last name to Wilson, and now you can see him at House XD

  • @blastyankemonka THATS WHERE I RECOGNIZED HIM FROM!!!

  • @blastyankemonka I kept saying this during my English class !

    'Don't worry guys ! He's living the best of both worlds .. he's an actor & a doctor ! Dr. Wilson ! "

  • "You're gonna be a doctor."

    Lol

  • DUMBASS!

  • Mommy & Daddy have puggy noses

    Neil has the ski slope.

Couldn't people have been found that at least resemble

    the kid ?????

  • His father was a prick he killed him!!

  • If I was Neil Iwould have told Mr Perry fuck off I will do what I want with my life and you are not my father.

  • Neil is now on House.
