if the orange cable you connected makes you disconnect from xbox liv when you enable it (flip on the lag switch) try turning off your console and going back to live (5 times) if that fails take the orange wire reconnect it back to one wire like it was before you cut it and tape it then cut your green wire and connect it to your switch and it should work

does your wire go from your xbox to your retour ? cause if it does thats why. You have to make the wire go from your modem to your retour and have a seperate wire go to your xbox and u put the switch on the one from the retour to modem

yea it means yo selected the wrong wire i had this problem too...all you need to do is try the green wire then see what happens that what i had to do or sometimes you wanna try the orange wire 5 times by shutting your console off then booting it back up each time if that fail you need to reconnect the orange wires tape them then cut the green wire and do what you did with the orange...let me know how it goes for ya

If you do make one, dont expose as much wire as he did, it seems like he cut the outer shell a little bit much, i would usggest 6inches max, depending on switch size.

It means you cut the wrong one, what you do is when you did cut the wrong one, take the copper from both ends of the orange and twist them back together and instead of using the orange, use the green.
