@splitty77 I believe some of his superiors were on that plane with him because of his flying. This happened at Fairchild AFB in Spokane Wa. The pilot was notorious for doing crazy things and some crews flatly refused to fly with him. Maybe he had some kind of death wish.

Well, i have to say, i read up about this disaster, and yes, it was the pilots fault thinking he could take a B-52 Bomber into a sharp left bank...... He did survive, but with severe burns and cuts..... If you watch the video closely, you will see the pilot ejects just before the wing collides with the ground. The small flash shows the pilots ejection. Unfortunately, the plane somewhat didn't survive at all, and set back the air force by 67 million dollars.... Pilots fault..... Stupid mistake !!
