I'm 5'4 too and thinkin bout gettin the scg because it sits lower than the xb9sx n has bigger engine and more horse, and the SS is just too long n still sits a little taller, u could always lower suspension and get the lower seat, it just sucks that the xb9 has a higher ground clearance than the scg if u go to lower it anymore
Hi, greetings from Finland. I am 1.70 long/short and I can keep my both feet steady on the ground. Maybe the knee angle is a little bit small but ok. This is not a cruiser for long journeys anyway. I think that if I drive for 1 hour and 30 minutes or maximi two hours it is time for a cup of coffie. But ok, if you are longer than me you could look at the XB12ss, long with hight of 775mm or XB12s with 765mm. Or at least try to sit on them or take a ride. I think you get more space for your legs.
I really like the new Black SCG. It seems like Buell is no longer offering the S here in the US, only the SS and that model doesn't look as good. The wheel base is far to long. It loses the street fighter look somehow.
I guess I have to go to a dealer and hope the SCG fits me.
hi dennis i'm 5'6 and i'm thinking of bying a bike do you think that i could get a buell and i could fit correctly both of my feet can touch the floor
They make multiple seats you can just switch out straight from the dealer that will hop your seat height up 2 inches or so, maybe try looking into that?
Thanks, I thought about that. The Skyline seat seams to add a couple of inches. It's a shame. I decided a couple of months ago that I want to get this bike and didn't get a chance yet to actually sit on one. LOL
So I guess that is the infamous cooling fan we hear? I pick up my new UIy this Sunday! My first Buell. How long does your fan run after shut down normally. Nice bike!
So I'm of short stature myself (5'4") and I was wondering if you think I should go for the scg or just the '09 Ss? I'm going to be commuting in town for the most part but at some point I want to do a long trip from Iowa to Montana. So what's your recommendation?

How tall are you? I really like the SCG but I'm afraid that it might be too low for me. I'm 5'11" (1.80m).
