Turns out Disney's now making a Avatar themed land in Animal Kingdom! The construction is supposed to start in 2013, and take about three years.

@potterfandf The fact that Disney and James Cameron will be working together on this, is the most exciting part! There's a lot of people who are angry about it this, but I think it's ridiculous. Avatar draws upon the same principles of the environmental-based park. It's going to be incredible!

If you actually did some research he said he got inspiration from a series of books.

I never said he stole the script, and I never said anything about where he claimed to have gotten his inspiration, only what was obviously similar between the two movies. And it takes much MUCH longer than a year to produce a 2D animated picture like Pocahantas, so obviously the script was written at least a year before the movie came out. They could have easily gotten inspiration from similar works, however.
